Bae Suzy Shares Acoustic Cover of Anne Marie's '2002'
Bae Suzy recently surprised fans with an acoustic cover of Anne Marie's "2002."
On Wednesday, Nov. 25, the K-Pop idol shared a short song cover video via her personal Instagram account where she can be seen delivering a lovely acoustic version of "2002," originally sung by the English singer and songwriter Anne Marie back in 2018.
With her soothing and melodic voice that was complemented by rhythmic guitar sounds, Suzy melted the listeners' hearts as she sings the song. Fans who were completely blown away by her song cover flooded the comment section of the singer's post, expressing how they missed hearing her voice and how good she is at singing. Some fans even commented that they forgot Suzy's a K-Pop idol since she is more active as an actress in the past years.
Fans were not the only ones who left comments on the singer's song cover. Suzy's "Start-Up" co-star Yoo Soo Bin was also spotted to comment on her exceptional musicianship. Among the other musicians who praised the artist include YB's Yoon Do Hyun and Urban Zakapa's Jo Hyun Ah.
As of Nov. 28, Suzy's acoustic cover of Anne Marie's "2002" gained 3.8 million views with more than 20,000 comments. This only shows how fans have missed seeing and hearing her deliver a song, showing off her beautiful angelic voice.
To everyone's surprise, Anne Marie herself also saw Bae's song cover, which was posted on Twitter by another user, and retweeted it with love emojis! Many fans saw Anne retweeting some comments, wishing to see the two singers collaborate.

Bae Suji, better known as Bae Suzy, is a singer and actress in South Korea. She is well-known for being a former member of the all-female group Miss A under JYP Entertainment. She debuted as the group's visual face and maknae (youngest member) of Miss A in July 2010 with the song "Bad Girl Good Girl." The band is the very first Korean act to have their debut single peaked at No. 1 on the Gaon Digital Chart.
At present, Bae Suzy is currently starring in the television series titled "Start-Up" together with Nam Joo Hyuk, Kim Seon Ho, Kang Han Na, and more. The drama is set in a fictional South Korean rendition of Silicon Valley where young dreamers start to reach success in startup companies. Also, it revolves around a woman named Seo Dal Mi who desires to be an entrepreneur like Steve Jobs. Suzy is playing this character.
According to the program's production team, Suzy is significantly similar to her character Seo Dal Mi. They said that the actress, both on-screen and off, often brings smiles to everyone's faces on the set because of her bright aura.
While Bae plays one of the main roles in the television show, she also sang its original soundtrack, particularly Part 14. The song title has not been revealed yet, but it is scheduled to be released on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 6:00 p.m. KST, just a few hours before a new "Start-Up" segment will be broadcast.
