Girls' Generation Taeyeon Flaunts Charm and Chic in New Teasers for Solo Comeback

Girls' Generation's Taeyeon continues to excite fans with more teasers for her upcoming solo comeback with a new mini-album.

On Dec. 7, a new set of teaser images were released for Taeyeon's mini-album "What Do I Call You" through Girls' Generation's official social media accounts. The first photo seems to be like a painting that shows a façade of a building with a lady, who is assumed to be Taeyeon, sitting on a chair. A phrase "What Do I Call You" with the word "Tae Yeon" under it can be noticed on the glass wall.

The second pic features the female idol sporting a black dress with red long sleeves as she sits in front of a table with a cup of latte, a bottle of wine, a dessert, and glasses. The third picture is a close-up shot of Girls' Generation's Taeyeon as she sips from a cup of café latte. The next teaser image is black and white and the singer appears to mesmerize fans with her charm. And, the last photo displays the artist reading a book.

Girls' Generation's Taeyeon's new mini-album "What Do I Call You" is her first domestic release in seven months since her single "Happy" in May. Also, this is her first Korean mini-album after more than two years since her 2018 extended play titled "Something New" and her fourth mini-album overall. "What Do I Call You" contains a total of six tracks of different genres and will be launched on Dec. 15 at 6 p.m. KST.

Ahead of her preparations for her solo comeback with her fourth mini-album "What Do I Call You," Girls' Generation's Taeyeon carried out several solo activities this year. Earlier this year, the K-pop star reissued her 2019 studio album "Purpose" with three bonus songs including "Dear Me."

Taeyeon then kicked off her "The Unseen Concert" on Jan. 17 in Seoul. She was supposed to continue the concert tour in Singapore, Thailand, and Taiwan in February and March, but due to the sudden occurrence of COVID-19, the shows were postponed to a later date. Additionally, her Japan Tour 2020 was canceled due to coronavirus.

Last October, the female idol released the music video for "#GirlsSpkOut," which is the title track and pre-release song of her second Japanese mini-album that shares the same name with the single. The mini-album itself was officially launched in November.

Taeyeon collaborated with NPIXEL, a game developer company, for the theme song of its online game called "Gran Saga." Titled "Ahead of Destiny," the song was dropped on Oct. 30 together with its accompanying music video that also features the Girls' Generation member.

Also in October, the female artist was revealed to be the featuring artist for Crush's new song "Let Me Go," which is the title track of his latest mini-album called "with HER." "Let Me Go" and its music video were out on Oct. 20 and it features both Crush and Taeyeon. This is the second time that the two idols teamed up with each other; the first one was back in 2016 with Crush's "Don't Forget."
