BTS Members Reveal Their New Year's Resolutions for 2021

Members of BTS have shared what their New Year's resolutions are for the upcoming year. Know more about it below!

On Dec. 8, radio station SiriusXM uploaded a video of an interview with world-renowned boy band BTS. Band members RM, Jin, J-Hope, Taehyung, Jimin, and Jungkook took part in the interview. BTS's Suga can't make it as he is still recovering after his shoulder surgery. During the talk, the male group had a Q&A session in which questions came from the fans.

One of the questions is what the members' New Year's resolutions are. BTS's Jungkook answered, "To be healthy, happy." Jin then said, "To be able to tour," to which Jungkook agreed.

RM shared his three resolutions in mind: "First one, health. The second one, go tour again and meet our fans in person. And the third one, GRAMMY-winning. That's a wrap." While RM was enumerating his resolutions, V added "happiness" to the list.

And speaking of 2021, one of the radio hosts of the radio show asked BTS, "In 2021, will we see any of you on the big screen in Hollywood?"

In response to the question, BTS's RM gave a shout-out by saying, "Hey Brad. Hey Leonardo," (He seems to be referring to Hollywood actors Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio). He continued, "I mean, who knows, who knows some boy band from Korea will get GRAMMY nominations someday no one believes it."

BTS's Jungkook added, "But, not yet."

The other radio host then asked, "Looking ahead to 2021, what is going to be your go-to karaoke song?"

The members first responded by singing the first part of the chorus of their latest song "Life Goes On."

Afterward, BTS's V shared, "We don't usually sing our own songs when we go karaoke." Jungkook then suddenly sang the first line of the chorus of "Dynamite."

RM, later on, said that he would sing "Monster" by Shawn Mende and Justin Bieber.

Apart from talking about what they plan on doing in 2021, BTS also shared what the album's title "BE" means to them. RM revealed, "In Korea, when we learned English grammar, the first thing we learned is the 'be' verbs. It could be like 'are,' 'is,' and 'am.' So, like it means existence and like potentials. It could be anything to be present at the moment.

The boy band was also asked who among the members learn the choreography the quickest and slowest. RM replied that the fastest ones would be V, Jimin, or J-Hope, and for the slowest one, he said, "RM, RM, actually it's me."

Meanwhile, BTS has recently been chosen as the "2020's Band of the Year" by online magazine Consequence of Sound. According to the magazine, the group is unique not only in the scope of boy bands but also within the Korean pop world. And because BTS is the first group after The Beatles to land five No. 1 albums in the United States' album chart, Consequence of Sound said, "Maybe they aren't the next Beatles; maybe they are simply the first BTS."
