EXO Kai Enters Four Billboard Charts
EXO's Kai has landed on four Billboard charts for the week ending on Dec. 12!
EXO's Kai made his solo debut on Nov. 30 with his first mini-album and he has been attaining impressive achievements since then. As soon as "KAI (开)" was released, it skyrocketed to the top of iTunes Tops Albums charts in 50 countries across the globe, including Denmark, India, Costa Rica, Oman, Mauritius, Azerbaijan, Macau, South Africa, France, and Hong Kong.
Most recently, EXO's Kai has also made it into four Billboard charts for the week ending on Dec. 12. The idol's solo debut mini-album "KAI (开)" peaked at No. 7 on Heatseekers Albums and at No. 11 on World Albums. The mini-album's title track "Mmmh" came in at No. 15 on the World Digital Song Sales chart. The artist himself also secured a spot on the Emerging Artists chart, landing on No. 48.

Prior to this, it was reported that "KAI (开)" topped the worldwide iTunes Album chart for three consecutive days and the European iTunes Album chart for two days in a row. The mini-album also entered the rankings of 118 overseas music charts.
In addition, EXO's Kai's solo release also ranked first on digital album sales charts for China's major music platforms such as QQ Music, Kuwo Music, and KuGou Music. It even managed to land on the Official UK Album Downloads Chart Top 100 compiled by the Official Charts Company (OCC) - the UK's largest digital bundles of the week. "KAI (开)" claimed the No. 23 spot on the said chart. What makes this such a big deal is that UK Album Download Charts is known as one of the hardest music charts to enter.

Meanwhile, the title track "Mmmh" placed first on the iTunes charts of 34 countries so far. The music video for the song already has 23.3 million views, just 10 days after it was launched. The MV showcased Kai's excellent dancing skills and his teleportation skills, which is his assigned superpower for EXO's concept of coming from another planet. EXO's Baekhyun, who watched the MV with Kai, said that the latter has leveled up, obtaining a mature sexy vibe.
EXO's Kai's solo mini-album "KAI (开)" consists of six songs that are either R&B or PBR&B tracks. Personally picked by the idol, he said that these singles are what he knows best match his vocal tone and will help him display outstanding performances.
The title song "Mmmh" is an R&B Pop song featuring a simple yet addicting melody on a minimalist track. Defined to be a charming, straight-forward love song, "Mmmh" is about expressing the attraction one feels to someone after seeing that person for the first time.
During a press conference that took place just a few hours before his solo debut, EXO's Kai revealed that "KAI (开)" means "to open," reflecting his wish to open the hearts of the public. And to attain this goal, Kai said that he will show off his charm, voice, and dance as well as his various sides as an idol and a human.
