EXO Kai to Hold Online Fan Meeting 'Merry KAI-mas'
Mark your calendars, EXO-Ls! EXO's Kai is set to hold an online fan meeting ahead of Christmas! The upcoming event is said to serve as a year-end present for EXO-Ls (EXO's fan club).
On Dec. 15, the official poster for Kai's upcoming fan meeting was uploaded on EXO's official social media accounts. Displaying the idol's charisma, the image reveals that the solo artist will be holding the event on Dec. 20 at 4 p.m. through EXO's official V Live channel. The fanmeet will be called "Merry KAI-mas."
EXO's Kai's online fan meeting will be a Christmas-themed event that is expected to be a special and delightful time for both the artist and fans before 2020 ends. Through this fanmeet, EXO-Ls from all over the world will be given the chance to greet and interact with the singer. It will involve a variety of segments such as speed quizzes, playing music games, and writing year-end wish cards.
This year, Kim Jongin, best known for his stage name Kai, became the fifth EXO member to make his solo debut. On Nov. 30, the singer's debut mini-album "KAI" was released along with the music video for the title track "Mmmh." EXO's Kai's debut was a success after his mini-album achieved several accomplishments following its launch.

Shortly after the mini-album was dropped, "KAI" claimed the No. 1 spot on the Worldwide iTunes Top Albums chart in many countries, including Costa Rica, Denmark, Netherlands, Greece, Oman, Mauritius, Ecuador, New Zealand, France, and India, for a total of 50 countries. The mini-album stayed strong on top of the said worldwide chart for three days in a row. Meanwhile, it was No. 1 on the European iTunes Album chart for two consecutive days.
EXO's Kai's debut mini-album also topped the digital album sales charts for China's biggest music sites, QQ Music, KuGou Music, and Kuwo Music. The music video for the title track also ranked first on QQ Music's Korean music video chart.

Apart from these, EXO's Kai landed on four Billboard charts for the week ending on Dec. 12. The idol's mini-album "KAI" was at No. 7 on "Heatseekers Albums" and at No. 11 on "World Albums." The mini-album's title track also made it to the ranking of the "World Digital Song Sales" chart, taking the No. 15 spot. The singer himself also entered the Billboard chart, specifically on the "Emerging Artists" where he was at No. 48.
The solo artist's achievements don't end there. One of the biggest milestones EXO's Kai attained is being able to secure a spot on the Official UK Album Downloads Chart Top 100, which is known as one of the hardest music charts to enter. On the said chart, "KAI (开)" was at No. 23.
And recently, it was reported that the soloist's debut mini-album peaked at No. 1 in 60 countries on the iTunes Album Chart. Also, the title track "Mmmh" placed first on the iTunes Song Chart in 36 countries. Because of this, EXO's Kai ranked fifth for the most No. 1 on the said chart among SM artists.
