Currently, three members including D.O, Suho, and Chen are serving in the military.

As for the third place, Wanna One, a project group that debuted in 2017 through MNET's "Produce 100" amazingly claimed the spot with 2.9 billion streams. BIGBANG, which is deemed as "Kings of K-pop" is still slaying the MelOn charts despite having no comebacks and new songs for several years. In particular, the icons' last comeback was in 2018, and though they were actually set to return this 2020 through a Coachella performance, the music festival was cancelled due to pandemic.
