Avid followers of SEVENTEEN might not be able to see all of their idols perform in the 2020 KBS Gayo Festival, which is scheduled to be aired on Friday, Dec. 18 at 8:30 P.M. KST.

SEVENTEEN members underwent COVID-19 testing

An unnamed representative from Pledis Entertainment revealed that the agency has not yet received all SEVENTEEN members' test results. It made it clear that only those who got their negative test results would be allowed to go out and grace the prestigious event.

To recall, SEVENTEEN was forced to undergo precautionary COVID-19 testing after they found out that a hairstylist they used to work with was, actually, close contact with Golden Child member Jaehyun, who contracted the deadly COVID-19 recently.

In a statement, the agency divulged that SEVENTEEN members visited a salon on Wednesday, Dec. 16, where one of its workers has tested positive recently. Pledis Entertainment was informed that the COVID-19 patient was in the vicinity when Yoo Jeonghan, Kim Mingyu, Wonwoo, Woozi, Wen Junhui, Hoshi, Vernon, Joshua Hong, DK, Xu Minghao, S.Coups, Dino, and Seungkwan dropped by the area.

Though the health authorities did not order SEVENTEEN to undergo COVID-19 testing, Pledis Entertainment voluntarily required all of its artists and staff to have themselves checked as a preemptive measure. All workers are said to be self-quarantining until the test results come out.

In the end, the agency apologized to fans and to all people concerned. Pledis Entertainment, then, vowed to try its best to ensure that all of its staff and artists are safe and healthy.

Pledis Entertainment did not announce the names of the SEVENTEEN members who would be at the 2020 KBS Gayo Festival tonight. However, devoted supporters of the group can expect some members, including Yoo Jeonghan, Kim Mingyu, Wonwoo, Woozi, Wen Junhui, Hoshi, Vernon, Joshua Hong, DK, Xu Minghao, S.Coups, Dino, and Seungkwan, would totally grace the said event.

SEVENTEEN scheduled to appear in an American talk show

Meanwhile, Pledis Entertainment also confirmed that SEVENTEEN would be appearing in "The Late Late Show With James Corden" early next year. For starters, it is a late-night show in the United States that is being aired on the CBS channel. NCT 127, BLACKPINK, and BTS, previously guested on the said show, which is hosted by English actor-comedian James Corden.

No other details have been made public as of this writing. However, things could change should one of Yoo Jeonghan, Kim Mingyu, Wonwoo, Woozi, Wen Junhui, Hoshi, Vernon, Joshua Hong, DK, Xu Minghao, S.Coups, Dino, and Seungkwan test positive from the COVID-19. So, stay tuned for the latest news and updates about SEVENTEEN's upcoming guesting.

Just like BTS, SEVENTEEN was able to release two albums this year amid the perils brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. "Heng:garæ" and "Semicolon," reportedly, sold more than a million copies worldwide. If that is not enough, TIME Magazine even named "HOME RUN," which is the carrier single of the "Semicolon album, as one of the songs that defined K-Pop this year.

Kpopstarz owns this.
