PENTAGON Releases 'Eternal Flame' Track to Bring Hope To Fans + More Details Revealed

Fans are, now, in high-spirits after PENTAGON released a special digital single titled "Eternal Flame" on Friday, Dec. 19, after the group announced the cancelation of their online concert in November.

PENTAGON treats avid followers with a special digital track

Yuto, Yan An, Jinho, Hui, Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeo One, Wooseok, and Kino, finally dropped their latest single. PENTAGON uploaded their new music on YouTube with the title "Eternal Flame." The song, according to reports, had a working title, "Fireworks." However, the management and people in the production decided to change it to "Eternal Flame." It is produced by the Universal Music Group.

PENTAGON members Yuto, Kino, and Woosuk co-wrote the lyrics of their new song. The trio even included some quotations from a fan letter they previously received as an act of appreciation for the unwavering love and support through the years.

If that is not enough, PENTAGON even included the voice of Jinho, who is currently serving in the military. This, according to reports, makes "Eternal Flame" an exceptional track, specifically to those who have waited for the 9 members to release a new song together. Devoted supporters of PENTAGON are also expected to appreciate the song, which aims to bring hope and comfort to everyone who is greatly affected by the perils brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Meanwhile, "Eternal Flame" is expected to hit digital music stores and online music streaming platform later today. As of this writing, the video has garnered 1,984 views and approximately 800 likes on YouTube. Check out PENTAGON's new song below:

PENTAGON canceled online concert amid COVID-19 threats

To recall, PENTAGON had to cancel their online concert due to COVID-19 fears. Cube Entertainment was forced to do the unthinkable after Yeo One was exposed to a person who had tested positive for the deadly coronavirus.

Though the "Shine" singer turned to be negative of having the COVID-19, his agency insisted that he should continue his self-quarantine in adherence with the government's precautionary guidelines. Cube Entertainment also revealed, at the time, that Yuto, Yan An, Jinho, Hui, Hongseok, Shinwon, Wooseok, and Kino underwent testing as a pre-emptive action.

The PENTAGON members were, then, required to self-quarantine. In the end, the agency apologized to the fans and all the people involved in sparking panic and worries. The group successfully, help their live concert titled 2020 Pentagon Online Concert [WE L:VE] on Dec. 13.

For starters, Cube Entertainment formed PENTAGON in 2016, with their self-titled debut album. Yuto, Yan An, Jinho, Hui, Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeo One, Wooseok, and Kino then held their very first solo concert called "Pentagon Mini Concert Tentastic Vol. 1" at Yes24 Live Hall in Seoul City.

The group set three records just a few weeks since their official launch, which includes the fastest concert to be sold out, fastest domestic solo concert, and fastest group to make a debut in Japan. PENTAGON was even included in the 2016 Billboard Best New K-Pop Groups list.
