It's been 77 days since the video was posted, but the song already broke numerous records.

Among the K-pop new songs released this year, it is very unusual for weekly music stage videos, not official MVs, to have achieved hundreds of millions of views.

In context, "Pretty Savage" is a song from BLACKPINK's first full-length album, "THE ALBUM." It is known to have competed with "Lovesick Girls" as a candidate for the title song of the regular album.

Though it is only a sidetrack, it gained attention for its minimal and sensuous trap beat, and the simple but addictive rap part and explosive drop part were also impressive. The song was loved indeed because it featured BLACKPINK's unique girl crush.

Meanwhile, aside from surpassing 100 million views which is already a huge achievement, they also became the first group to reach this record this 2020.

On top of that, the video is also the fastest live performance to have 100M views after 77 days, not to mention that it also entered as a fifth-placer among the Top 5 most viewed live performance in history, along with "Forever Young," (No. 1, SBS Gayo Daejun), BTS' "Anpanman," (No. 2, Comeback Show), BTS "Go Go," (No. 3, Comeback Show), and BLACKPINK's "BOOMBAYAH," (No. 4, SBS Inkigayo.)

With its popularity, there is no doubt that it is also considered as the best song from "THE ALBUM" selected by U.S. Billboard critics, while Rolling Stone noted that it is the sexiest open track since Ariana Grande's "Thank You, Next."

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK, after their successful comeback, is currently preparing for its live stream concert "THE SHOW" (YG PAL. STAGE - 2020 BLACKPINK: THE SHOW) to be held on January 31 next year. This is the first concert to be held since the release of the first full-length album "THE ALBUM," so it is highly anticipated what kind of fantastic stage BLACKPINK will show.

Though it was initially announced to be held on Dec. 27, the date was adjusted due to the ongoing pandemic.

YG Entertainment asked the fans for their understanding and said, "We will prepare harder for the fans who have been waiting for us and come back with a better performance."

We really appreciate the medical staff who are working hard to overcome Coronavirus. Be careful about your health at the end of the year and see you next year at "The Show.""
