BTS V's Birthday is Being Celebrated around the World + V Occupies Top Trends Worldwide
ARMYs are celebrating BTS's V's birthday this year, and it is not just the usual greeting on social media platforms - fans from all over the world have special and different ways to show their love for the idol!
Kim Taehyung, also known by his stage name V, was born on Dec. 30, 1995, which means he is turning 25 this year. His birthplace is in Daegu, South Korea, and grew up in the Geochang Country with his grandmother by his side for over half of his life since his parents were busy working. He has two siblings, a younger brother and sister, making him the oldest among them.
When he was in ninth grade, Taehyung auditioned for Big Hit Entertainment after getting permission from his parents. He successfully passed and became the only person from Daegu to be accepted by the company. Kim trained for three years until he debuted as a member of BTS in 2013, and now he is one of the world-renowned K-pop stars.

In celebration of the BTS superstar's 25th birthday, ARMYs around the world have special and meaningful presents for him. Fans aim to increase the number of streams for V's solo singles on Spotify, particularly the songs "Sweet Night," "Inner Child," Singularity," and "Stigma." They also plan to increase the views and streams of the songs on YouTube and SoundCloud, respectively.
Apart from that, fanbases in different countries prepared various ways to commemorate V's birthday. The Malaysian fanbase made a donation, while fans from the Philippines held a fan art contest. Indonesian fans even held a fan café event.
What's more? ARMYs have adopted a European wolf through the Wolf Watch UK organization and named the adorable creature Anja!
But that's not all! BTS's V was featured on the well-known Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Thousands of fans showed up at the site to see the idol's breathtaking LED show on the façade of the tallest building in the world.
Taehyung is now the very first solo K-pop artist to be displayed on the Burj Khalifa with a spectacular three-minute sound and light show, which was accompanied by a water show at the Dubai Fountain, dancing in harmony to the V's pop-rock ballad "Winter Bear."
ARMYs continuously spread their love for BTS V as they trend numerous hashtags that are related to Taehyung's birthday. These hashtags immediately occupied the local and worldwide trends on Twitter, particularly the top 25 spots. A few of these are "#HappyVDay," "#HappyBirthdayTaehyung," "#WinterPrinceTaehyung," "#HappyTaehyungDay," and "#BornHistoryMakerV." "#HappyVDay is currently trending with more than two million tweets.
In some countries, fans are about to attain a perfect all-kill as the hashtags occupy 25 or 27 positions out of the top 30. Hashtags congratulating BTS's V on his 25th birthday have taken over the top spots on Korean trends as well.
Furthermore, fans gave birthday wishes to Taehyung on Weverse, to which the BTS member responded on Dec. 30 at midnight KST by posting "Love you, thank you." Shortly after his post, ARMY flocked to the app and surpassed its capacity, causing Weverse to temporarily crash since it was unable to handle a large number of fans in one place.
