Sandara Confessed how She Got Hurt After a Girl Group Laughed at her Iconic Hairstyles
Sandara Park shared the pains and embarrassment she went through because of her crazy yet iconic hairstyles when she was still promoting with 2NE1. The K-pop singer who was a former member of the second-generation K-pop group 2NE1 talked about how emotionally and physically hurt she was during her promotions with the girl group.
Sandara Reminisce Her Memorable Experiences with Her Legendary Hairstyles
In particular, Sandara Park who is currently an active entertainment personality and actress appeared on the recent episode of KBS2's "Problem Child in House," where she shared some of her interesting stories while solving trivia and quizzes on the rooftop.
On the show, the K-pop singer narrated the behind-the-scenes story of her palm hair that truly became a huge hairstyle craze among K-pop fans.
"You'd think that there will be a device used but it's 100 percent power. You should pull it up tightly and tie it to death with a rubber band. The headache was so severe that I performed with tears. I needed painkillers," she recalled.
The hosts and other guests along with Dara were all amazed by the intensity of her hairstyle, Super Junior Kim Heechul then asking if it's the most difficult hairstyle she had tried.
But to their surprise, Sandara Park responded that it is nothing compared to her "Vegeta" hairstyle, the one where all of her hair was pulled up during their promotion for "I am the Best." Dara talked about how she was confident with her previous hairstyle, but the "Vegeta" one lowered her self-esteem.
"I was full of confidence no matter what I did with my hair, but with that, I couldn't get out of the car. I have to put gel, mousse and spray all over. It will take me two or three hours just to wash my hair."
She then revealed the time where she was also laughed at by a particular girl group when she went to a broadcasting station flaunting the "Vegeta" hairstyle. Dara confessed she was hurt when as soon as she went out, the female idols went, "Pfft."
Prior to that, she was actually embarrassed to get off the car until her co-members convinced her that she just looked fine. On the contrary, the male idols who saw her hairstyle thought it was really cool.
Nevertheless, Dara who is one of the most respected personalities in the K-pop scene just proved how versatile and beautiful she is, still slaying a perfect visual despite her craziest hairstyles.
Sandara Gained 7-8 kilograms After Staying on the 38-kg mark Since her Debut
On the same show, the female idol also conveyed that she's finally gaining weight after maintaining a 38-39 kilograms weight since she debuted with 2NE1.
She recounted that gaining weight was actually her long-time wish as she always remained under 90 pounds. But previously, she suddenly attained an eight to nine kilograms increase to her weight.
