U-KISS Soohyun Confesses He Almost Dated This Former Secret Member
U-KISS Soohyun revealed that he liked this former Secret member back then. However, they didn't end up dating each other. What do you think might be the reason?
U-KISS member, Soohyun recently appeared on MBC's Radio Star where he made a shocking revelation about a particular time when he was still a trainee. It began when Kim Gook Jin asked the male idol if it was true that he and Jun Hyoseong, a previous Secret member, almost started dating in the olden days.
U-KISS's Soohyun answered his question by first sharing that they used to be fellow trainees at the same record label when they were at a young age. The singer admitted that as soon as he saw Jun Hyoseong, he fell in love with her personality. "When I entered the company, I saw Hyoseong and realized that she was very bright and a good person," he said.
Soohyun went on to confess that he had feelings for her, but when the Secret member didn't show any interest in him, he eventually gave up. U-KISS's leader also stated that Hyoseong's response to her was kind of uncertain.
He further unveiled that he jokingly asked the female idol if she knew about him having feelings for her. It turns out that Jun Hyoseong did know about it and also admitted that she liked him too. However, the timing was off. "When I liked her, Hyoseong liked someone else, and once she didn't show interest in me, I ended up liking someone else," U-KISS's Soohyun stated.
U-KISS's Soohyun and former Secret member, Jun Hyoseong were both trainees under Good Entertainment back then before they joined NH Media and TS Entertainment, respectively. Soohyun transferred to NH Media in 2006 and after two years of training, he was chosen as one of the members of the six-member boy band called U-KISS. Meanwhile, Jun Hyoseong auditioned at TS Entertainment in 2008 and got accepted. She later made her debut as a member of the all-female group called Secret.
Both Soohyun and Hyoseong became the leader of their respective bands. U-KISS is still active as a K-pop group under NH Media until the present time, while Secret disbanded in 2018 after Jun Hyoseong filed a civil lawsuit against TS Entertainment for violating various aspects in her exclusive contract, eventually leaving the girl group and her management company.
Shin Soohyun is currently one of the three active members of U-KISS, the two others being Yeo Hoonmin and Lee Junyoung. He enlisted in the military in December 2017 and concluded his service in September 2019. Last year, he and Jun released the Japanese single titled "Eyes on Me," which also features the Ballad song "星も見えない夜に" (At night when you can't see the stars).
This year, U-KISS members, Soohyun and Hoon will launch the song "I Wish" in both Korean and Japanese. The Korean version will be out on Jan. 27, while the Japanese rendition will be on Feb. 24.
Meanwhile, Jun Hyoseong has joined a new company, Tommy & Partners Entertainment, in October 2018. Last year, she was cast in tvN's "Memorist" and is currently the host of MBC's radio show "Dreaming Radio."
