Shinsadong Tiger previously collaborated with Universal Music Group, the world's prime music company, to launch a new K-pop girl group. Recently, the name and debut month of the female act has been announced.

On Dec. 29, OSEN reported that hitmaker Lee Hoyang, best known as Shinsadong Tiger, is preparing to debut a new girl group early this year, in partnership with Universal Music Group. It is also said that the producer acts as the head of the production, creating the band's overall concept and producing its debut song.

On Jan. 4, the official group name and its debut have been revealed. An official connected to Shinsadong Tiger shared, "The official team name of the new girl group jointly created by Shinsadong Tiger and Universal Music Group has been confirmed as TRI.BE (pronounced as try-bee.)" The official also stated that they are aiming to debut the band in the music industry in February.

TRI.BE is said to be made up of members who possess not only skills but also versatile talents, unique visuals, and irresistible charm. The name is a combination of "TRI," an abbreviation of "triangle" that is a symbol of perfection, and "BE" which means "perfect existence."

The new girl group of Shinsadong Tiger x Universal Music Group has started the countdown for its debut by releasing an official logo through TRI.BE's official YouTube channel, social media account, and newly-opened fan café.

An official connected to TRI.BE revealed that the upcoming female act plans to heighten the expectations and excitement of fans by releasing various promotional teaser contents until its debut in February. The profile of each member will also be shared soon, according to the official.

Speaking of the official SNS account, various pre-debut contents of the new girl group have been uploaded on Twitter. One of the photos shows seven members, namely Hyunbin, Songsun, Jia, Kelly, Mire, Soeun, and Jinha. Several videos have been uploaded on TRI.BE's YouTube channel as well. Not to mention, dance covers can be spotted on the channel, including TWICE's "I Can't Stop Me."

Meanwhile, Shinsadong Tiger is known to be one of the leading hitmakers in the entertainment industry of South Korea, specifically in the K-pop scene. Over the years, he has produced plenty of tracks that were always well received by the public. Some of the songs he worked on are EXID's "Up and Down," HyunA's "Bubble Pop," Apink's "NoNoNo," and T-ara's "Bo Peep Bo Peep," as well as MOMOLAND's "BBoom BBoom" and "BAAM," and Highlight's "Shock" and "Fiction."

Apart from those, he also produced IU's "Merry Christmas in Advance" and T-ara's "Roly Poly," both of which have recently become popular once again. Considering these hit songs that made the female group and artists rise to fame, people are already awaiting the debut of the new girl group, wondering what kind of concept they would take on.
