Eli's Ex-Wife Reveals She Worked at a Factory to Raise Child and Pay Debt after Divorce: What Happened?
While former U-KISS Eli is in the U.S, the ex-wife of the idol narrated how she and her son is currently living in a rented apartment, unemployed and with debts.
Ji Yeon Soo, a former racing model and broadcaster, revealed her status after divorcing Eli, ex-member of U-Kiss. She also previously appeared on the YouTube channel "Late Night Shrine" hosted by Jung Ho Geun.
Ji Yeon Soo Shares Her Life after Divorce, Raising Child as a Single Mother
During the interview, the actor and fortune teller Jung Ho Geun drew attention as he talked about Yeon Soo's relationship with the opposite sex. He warned the former model to be careful with men, as they are going to be "humps" in her fate.
Yeon Soo, who heard this then said, "I wanted to be loved because I was a woman and I wanted to lean on someone, but it didn't work out that well. When I had a boyfriend, and even in my marriage, I had to play the role of the 'breadwinner' or head of a family to maintain it."
"As time goes by, I can earn money and pay for expenses, so I just don't want my partner to cheat," she said, referring to the difficulties she experienced in relationships with men.
She also confessed that she is actually experiencing financial difficulties in regard to her living expenses while raising her and Eli's son alone. She said, "I'm in charge of my son now. I think it's the hardest because of the economy."
Due to the pandemic where a lot of people lost their jobs, Yeon Soo also revealed that she's lived through state-run loans since Dec. 2019, and will be paying them back for 10 years.
But Yeon Soo shocked viewers the most when she said she even worked part-time at a mask factory to support their living. However, it was also not easy to take care of child alone as they reside in a rented apartment.
The factory where she worked at pack masks, and due to the fierce competition, she wasn't able to do it as well, leading to her current unemployment.
Ji Yeon Soo also shed tears as she recalled her young son. She said, "I can't brush my teeth myself, and there's no one to take care of my food. How long should I have a hard time looking at my poor child every day? The kid was always looking for his mother, but it was when I have bad financial status and lost everything. I didn't have anything, I just wanted to die."

Ji Yeon Soo got together with Eli, a former member of the group U-Kiss, in June 2014 and had a son in 2016, officially announcing their marriage in 2017. They garnered huge attention as a couple who overcame their 11-year age gap and appeared on a reality show "Mr. House Husband."
However, the news of the divorce was reported suddenly last year, shocking the public. Eli wrote, "I am in the U.S. now, and Michael (son) lives with his mother in Korea. Although I can't see Michael now, I will go to see him whenever I can and I will do my best to become the father he needs. I don't know what will happen in the future, but I pray for Michael and his mother to be happy."
Currently, Eli doesn't have any response about Ji Yeon Soo's confessions.
