There is no denying that Minzy was among the first people to put K-Pop in the international stage when she was still a member of 2NE1, alongside Sandara Park, Park Bom, and CL. Recently, the "Fire" hitmaker revealed that one popular song of BLACKPINK was, supposedly, meant for her former group.

Minzy Spills Interesting Details About 'As If It's Your Last'

The former 2NE1 member appeared as special guest on the latest episode of Park Myung Soo's Radio Show on KBS Cool FM. During her stint, Minzy revealed some shocking details about a popular song by BLACKPINK.

According to the "I Don't Care" singer, 2NE1 was originally tapped to sing "As If It's Your Last" as the group's demo song. Minzy said they were supposed to record the track when they were still together as a group. However, they were not able to do it since there have been many other great tracks assigned to them.

Minzy further revealed that "As If It's Your Last" was proposed to 2NE1 when they were preparing for the "Come Back Home" album. She added that her most loved song from the said LP was "I'm the Best."

When asked about the K-Pop idols she admires, Minzy revealed she likes BTS member Jimin and Chungha. The South Korean songstress, also, divulged that she is, currently, preparing a song after signing a contract with a record label based in the Philippines.

Minzy Shares She Almost Didn't Join 2NE1

The "Lollipop" singer even shared that she almost did not become a part of 2NE1. Minzy stated that she was, actually, casted into SM Entertainment. She shared she was told to sign up a contract and join the talent agency, adding she would have been one of the members of f(x).

Fortunately, for her devoted followers, Minzy ended up being part of 2NE1. Despite being launched as a group, the "You and I" songstress said they were, originally, slated to be debuted as solo artists. However, things changed after she, Sandara Park, Park Bom and CL recorded the song "Pretty Boy" and it came out great.

Minzy, when asked about the whereabouts of her former groupmates, said Sandara Park is, presently, busy appearing on various variety shows. CL, like her, is also working on her new set of tracks while Park Bom is said to be busy focusing on her health and wellness.

During the radio guesting, Minzy also sparked 2NE1 reunion rumors after she revealed that they have been seeing each other even after their infamous disbandment. The singer even said CL suggested the idea of a reunion for their avid supporters to which Sandara Park and Park Bom agreed to do.

Minzy emphasized, however, that things have not been finalized yet. She added that they are still talking about doing things and they would surely make an announcement if it would push through.
