Contestant from 'Produce 101 Japan' Season 2 Draws Attention for Looking Like BTS Jin
The second season of "Produce 101 Japan" is about to start and its 100 trainees have been revealed recently. Initially 101 contestants, one of the trainees has already left the program before it even began. Meanwhile, among the trainees is a 20-year old singer that is already gaining attention.
A few days ago, "Produce 101 Japan" uploaded introductory videos of the trainees to its official YouTube channel, and among the videos are meant to present a contestant named Sano Yudai.
There are four videos in total, with the first one showing him sing a part of a song, the second clip is about him introducing himself in a minute, the third one shows him answering 10 questions, and the last is him dancing.
People Say "Produce 101 Japan" Season 2 Contestant Resembles BTS Jin
On Friday, Feb. 5, the video of Sano Yudai singing a song was shared in an online community. The netizen who made the post said that this trainee is garnering recognition for his resemblance to a member of a world-renowned K-pop boy group - it is none other than BTS Jin!
The netizen also stated that many agree that this contestant has similarities with the BTS member.
More netizens flocked to the post to see the video and share their thoughts about Sano Yudai. Some say that his facial expression and vibe are all reminiscent of BTS Jin. One commenter pointed out that his nose and mouth make him look like BTS's eldest member, while another netizen stated that he looks like BTS Jin with V's hairstyle. Some say that the "Produce 101 Japan" contestant looks different from Jin.
While Sano Yudai appears to have a resemblance to BTS Jin, the trainee admits that he admires BTS Jungkook the most and imitates him as well.
Who is Sano Yudai of "Produce 101 Japan" Season 2?
Sano Yudai was born in Osaka, Japan, and has been wanting to be in the entertainment industry ever since he was young. He shared that he started performing arts activities last year and that he learned about "Produce 101" from his friend. He decided to participate in the show as he finds the debuted groups "cool" and wants to be cool like them.
His hobbies include playing games, watching anime, DIY, and visiting second-hand clothes stores. According to him, his charming feature is his elastic cheeks. He has a special skill of impersonating people or anime characters.
BTS's Eldest Member, Jin
Kim Seokjin, commonly known by his stage name Jin, is the sub-vocalist and visual of Big Hit Entertainment's well-known boy group, BTS. He was first scouted by SM Entertainment but he chose to join Big Hit Entertainment as an actor, but he eventually transitioned to a Korean idol.
