BLACKPINK Surpasses 57 Million Subscribers on YouTube + Group Inspires Burger King Thailand

BLACKPINK continues to make waves until now. Being the world's biggest girl group, it comes no surprise, however, that Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé have been dominating various international music charts and sales ranks.

BLACKPINK Achieves New Feat on YouTube

On Tuesday, Feb. 9, BLACKPINK reached another milestone on YouTube as its official channel has already surpassed the 57 million subscribers mark. The latest feat came after some of the official music videos of Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé's tracks break new records on the video streaming website.

On Feb. 5, it was revealed that the official music video of "BOOMBAYAH" has collected more than 1.1 billion views already. The clip also made more than 10 million likes and more than 980,000 comments as of this writing.

If that is not enough, BLACKPINK also broke another record when the official music video of "Kill This Love" surpassed the 1.2 billion views mark on Tuesday, Feb. 9. The said clip also garnered more than 17 million likes and more than 2.2 million comments on YouTube.

Not long ago, "How You Like That" also reached the 500 million views mark in January. "Whistle" and "Playing with Fire"  got 600 million views each earlier this year. "Lovesick Girls," on the other hand, garnered more than 300 million views as of Dec. 14, 2020.

The official YouTube channels of BLACKPINK members Jennie and Lisa also got more than 5 million subscribers recently. With all these feats, it goes to show that the quartet formed by YG Entertainment is among the most sought after girl groups today.

BLACKPINK was also proclaimed as one of the two K-Pop girl groups to ever make it to the Pop Radio Chart in the United States. As a matter of fact, Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé made history when they entered on any Billboard radio chart with their trending single titled "Ice Cream," which is their first collaboration with American singers Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande, who also helped in composing its lyrics.

BLACKPINK Inspires Burger King Thailand's Valentine's Day Burgers

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK just proved their wide influence again after Burger King Thailand unveiled its latest offerings in line with the celebration of the upcoming Valentine's Day. The hamburger fast food giant launched the "BLACK AND PINK" burgers recently.

While the new products have no direct affiliation to Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rose, the "BLACK AND PINK" burgers are expected to become a huge hit. The contrasting burgers are made for couples and singles use naturally colored black and pink buns.

The Black Double Grilled Onion Burger is made up of two flame-boiled beef patties flavored with a special sauce and topped with grilled onions and two slices of melting cheese. The Pink Salmon Burger, on the other hand, is comprised of a thick slice of cheese and a fried breaded salmon fillet flavored by a rich sauce. Both burgers are priced at $2.95 USD or 89 THB.
