BTS Set to Break Another Record With 'Map of the Soul: 7' + Album Reaches New Milestone on Spotify

BTS is definitely a global phenomenon. Aside from their strong visuals and stunning fashion styles, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga, V and RM have also amassed millions of followers because of their music. So, it comes as no surprise that most, if not all, of their tracks continue to dominate several music streaming sites and charts around the globe as of press time.

BTS' 'Map of the Soul: 7' Continues Streak in Billboard World Albums Chart

On Friday, Feb. 12, Billboard announced that the "Map of the Soul: 7" album of BTS has reached another milestone. According to the American entertainment media giant, the first album of Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, Jungkook, Suga, V and RM in 2020 has spent 50 weeks on the Billboard World Albums Chart already.

As of this writing, the "Map of the Soul: 7" album is at No. 3. "The Album" by BLACKPINK dominated the tally followed by "BE" by BTS in the second spot. "Resonance, Pt. 1" by NCT and "Love Yourself: Tear" by BTS rounded up the Top 5 at the No. 4 and No. 5 spots, respectively.

In other words, "Map of the Soul: 7" album just needs two more weeks to official spend one whole year in the Billboard World Albums Chart. With three BTS albums on the said tally, it cannot be denied that Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga, V and RM are among the most popular musicians today.

It was, recently, revealed that the said EP was already streamed more than 2.5 billion times on the popular online music streaming site.

The "BE" album, which is the second EP that Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga, V and RM dropped last year, already reached the 1.1 billion streams mark. The "Boy with Luv" song, on the other hand, has surpassed 600 streams on Spotify, which marks their second time to achieve the same feat.

However, devoted supporters of BTS can expect that the EP would include special features that were not found in the previous album, which may include other versions of the songs and some behind-the-scene clips when Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga, V and RM were still working on the said album.
