Viral reunion-style photos of 2NE1 are sparking fresh debate among fans after members celebrated the group's 17th debut anniversary while questions continue about Park Bom's place in the lineup.
On May 17, 2026 (KST), Sandara Park marked the milestone by posting photos showing all four members—CL, Sandara Park, Gong Minzy, and Park Bom—together on social media.
According to Koreaboo, she captioned the post simply, "Happy 17th anniversary~!!!" Gong Minzy shared the same image on her own account, writing, "Happy 17th Anniversary to us."
The photos quickly spread online because they show the members looking close and comfortable, despite recent concerns about distance within the group. Fans were especially surprised to see Park Bom included, since she has not been active in recent group promotions.
Park Bom has been on hiatus from 2NE1 activities due to health-related reasons, and the group has mostly continued as a three-member unit. Her absence has led to ongoing speculation about whether she will fully return to group schedules in the future.

2NE1's Fans Debate Park Bom's Status
Tension rumors grew earlier this year after Park Bom posted a message in March that appeared to reference past controversy involving her, while also seeming to mention Sandara Park. The post led to public confusion among fans, and Sandara Park later responded by denying any drug use allegations connected to the discussion.
Around the same period, fans noticed that Sandara Park and CL had reportedly unfollowed Park Bom on social media, KpopHit reported.
The group also shared promotional images featuring only three members, which further fueled talk that Park Bom may be separated from current activities.
Because of this background, the anniversary posts gained extra attention. While the images appear to be from earlier group shoots rather than recent reunions, the decision to share all four members together has been interpreted by some fans as a sign that the bond between them may still exist.
Others, however, believe the posts are simply nostalgic throwbacks tied to the anniversary rather than a signal of reunion plans. Still, the timing has kept discussion active across fan communities.
As of now, there has been no official statement from 2NE1 or its members confirming a reunion or clarifying Park Bom's future involvement with the group.
