BLACKPINK Member Lisa Breaks Another Record on YouTube

On Saturday, Feb. 13, it was revealed that BLACKPINK member Lisa is already the second most subscribed K-Pop solo female act in the history of YouTube. The co-member of Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé beat South Korean songstress IU.

As of this writing, BLACKPINK member Lisa already got more than 5.34 million subscribers while IU has garnered more than 5.33 million subscribers. Another Jennie, who is also a member of BLACKPINK, is currently the K-Pop solo female act who has the most followers on the popular video streaming site.

The news came just a day after BLACKPINK member Lisa uploaded the "LILI'S FILM: The Movie" video on YouTube. In the said clip, the "Lovesick Girls" singer showed off her fierce dance moves and sultry look, which effortlessly captured the hearts of many.

As of press time, the "LILI's FILM: The Movie" video has amassed more than 9.6 million views already. The clip, which was directed by Anthony King alongside Cheshir Ha as the official choreographer, also got more than 1.7 million likes and 185,000 comments.

BLACKPINK member Lisa has been uploading videos of her on her official YouTube channel every once in a while. The "BOOMBAYAH" hitmaker has been preparing for her upcoming solo debut, which is expected to happen after Rose's launch as a solo artist in March. So, avid followers of Lisa should stay tuned for more updates soon.

BLACKPINK Lisa, Jennie and Jisoo Greet Rosé on Her Birthday

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK members Lisa, Jennie, and Jisoo were among the very first people to greet Rosé on her 25^th birthday on Thursday, Feb. 11. The "Whistle" singers took to social media to express their best wishes for the co-member.

Lisa reposted the birthday greeting photo shared by YG Entertainment on her Instagram Story. The BLACKPINK singer even called Rosé "rosiepoop" in her post. Jennie did the same thing, but she wrote "Rosie Posie" in the caption. Jisoo, for her part, shared a clip of Rosé while playing with a dog.

To recall, BLACKPINK treated their fans with exemplary performances and stunning numbers during their "THE SHOW" virtual concert on Jan. 31. The said, reportedly, earned more than 10.5 million USD.

During the virtual concert, BLACKPINK member Rosé performed her first-ever solo track called "GONE," which effortlessly became a hot topic on social media. The South Korean girl group's official profile has been teasing Rosé's upcoming solo debut.

The agency even uploaded a video teaser on YouTube, which already got more than 38 million views as of this writing. It was also announced last week that BLACKPINK member Rosé is already done shooting the official music video of "GONE."

Aside from Rosé, BLINKS should also watch out for the solo debuts of Lisa and Jisoo. While BLACKPINK member Lisa is said to be preparing for her solo launch, Jisoo is, currently, filming for her imminent new television series titled "Snowdrop."
