NCT 127 Sells More Than 147K Copies of 'LOVEHOLIC' in 3 Days + Album Soars High in Oricon Daily Album Chart
NCT 127 has proven, again, that they are among the most influential and popular K-Pop groups today.
NCT 127 just released its second Japanese mini album called "LOVEHOLIC" but it is already smashing records.
On Thursday, Feb. 18, Billboard Japan revealed that the latest EP of Haechan, Mark, Jungwoo, Winwin, Jaehyun, Yuta, Doyoung, Taeyong, Johnny and Taeil have reached another milestone in Japan.
NCT 127 Achieves New Record with 'LOVEHOLIC' Album
NCTzens have another reason to rejoice, aside from the fact that their idols have returned to the music scene, as "LOVEHOLIC" by NCT 127 has started making waves in Japan in its first three days since the official release. According to reports, the album was sold 147, 923 times from Feb. 15 to Feb. 17, 2021.
Most, if not all, fans are aware that "LOVEHOLIC" is the first Japanese mini album of NCT 127 since "CHAIN," which was released on May 23, 2018. The said EP includes a total of six tracks, namely: "Right Now, "Kick It," "Chica Bom Bom," "First Love," "Lipstick" and "Gimme Gimme."
The carrier single of "LOVEHOLIC," which is titled "Gimme Gimme," centers on how love can make a big impact to the world. NCT 127 members Haechan, Mark, Jungwoo, Winwin, Jaehyun, Yuta, Doyoung, Taeyong, Johnny and Taeil wants to inspire their devoted followers to always give love and support to one another.
The "LOVEHOLIC" album by NCT 127 comes in seven versions with bonus items such as pin badges, a teddy bear and more. The second Japanese mini album of the group was originally scheduled to be released on Dec. 23, 2020. However, things changed after the group was met with productions issues that caused its delay.

NCT 127 Dominates Oricon Daily Album Chart With 'LOVEHOLIC'
Meanwhile, NCT 127 has reappeared on the Oricon Daily Album Chart again after the "LOVEHOLIC" album made an impressive sale during its first few days since its official release. According to Japan's largest music statistics website, the latest Japanese EP of Haechan, Mark, Jungwoo, Winwin, Jaehyun, Yuta, Doyoung, Taeyong, Johnny and Taeil had an estimated 97,808 sales as of Feb. 16.
In that is not enough, the official music video of "Gimme Gimme" also made a new feat after it garnered more than 9.4 million views on YouTube as of this writing. At the same time, the clip has already collected more than 1.3 million likes and more than 220,000 comments. Also, it is currently at No. 11 on YouTube's official trending list.
The official music video of "Gimme Gimme" featured Haechan, Mark, Jungwoo, Winwin, Jaehyun, Yuta, Doyoung, Taeyong, Johnny and Taeil dancing to the tune of their latest track. In one scene, all the NCT 127 members sported all-black outfits as they showed off their killer dance moves and singing prowess.
"Gimme Gimme" is a track that describes the feeling of giving in to something addictive. Some parts of the new NCT 127 song even stated that the feeling of falling in love with someone can be traumatic.
