EXO Chanyeol to Star in "The Box"

On Monday, March 1, a teaser for the imminent new movie of EXO member Chanyeol made rounds online. In the 30-second clip, the K-Pop idol was seen playing the guitar as he sings "Bad Guy" by American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish.

As expected, fans of Chanyeol showed their unwavering love and support for the idol-actor. They also trended the hashtags #ActorChanyeolIsBack and #TheBoxMovieIsComingSoon on Twitter. To recall, SM Entertainment confirmed on July 20, 2020 that EXO member Chanyeol will star in the forthcoming movie called "The Box."

The agency said, in a statement, that the singer has decided to star in the jukebox road film. At the time, the agency shared that Chanyeol has been in the process of working out the details of the project.

 Though details about "The Box" remains scarce as of this writing, reports stated that it will be a music film centering on the life of an aspiring singer and a washed-up music producer, who used to be a respected person in the industry.

 The EXO member, as per reports, would not only be acting as the main character, as he would also be involved in rearranging the tracks that he would person in "The Box" movie. If things push through this year, this will be the first Korean movie of Chanyeol, who also appeared in the Chinese film called "So I Married an Anti-fan" in 2016.

 "The Box" is set to be released in Spring 2021. The movie, which stars EXO member Chanyeol, will be directed by Yang Jung Woong, who was known for producing the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2018 PyeongChang inter Olympics.

EXO Sehun's "Catman" Releases New Teaser on Weibo

Aside from "The Box," a teaser for the forthcoming movie titled "Catman" was released today on Weibo. The clip showed lead stars Sehun and Chinese actress Janice Wu interacting with each other.

Spoilers revealed that EXO's Sehun will play as Liang Qu, a charming but cold human who turns into a cat who has the ability to mend broken hearts. Liang Qu lives with Xiao Wan, played by Janice Wu, a very optimistic and honest lady who developed an application that can translate the cat's sounds into a language.

Some theories suggested that the character of Sehun will gradually develop feelings for Janice Wu's Xiao Wan. However, Liang Qu's condition will be the lead character's biggest problem in the movie.

Aside from EXO member Sehun and Janice Wu, other stars who will appear on the upcoming "Catman" include Rise Li, Song Wei Long, Ju Jing Yi, Xu Ke, and Roy Lie. The filming for the movie started in 2016 and was completed in 2017. However, due to the Hallyu ban in China, the project has been delayed.

"Catman" is expected to hit the theatres on March 14, 2021. Fans of EXO member Sehun should stay tuned for more spoilers and updates!
