The most liked K-pop girl group song in MelOn history is BLACKPINK's 2018 release, "DDU-DU DDU-DU." The song currently has 233,052 likes on the platform. "DDU-DDU DDU-DU" snagged three Melon Weekly Popularity Awards, doing so on Jul. 2, 2018, Jul. 9, 2018, and Jul. 16, 2020. The song also won the "Best Dance - Female" award in the 2018 MelOn Music Awards (MMAs).

In other major music charts, "DDUI-DU DDU-DU" debuted at number three on the Gaon Digital Charts when it was released. A week later, it rose to number one and achieved the highest weekly Gaon Digital index. In Japan, "DDU-DU DDU-DU" debuted at number six on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart and peaked at number two just six days later.
In the United States, "DDU-DU DDU-DU" debuted and peaked at number 55 on the Billboard Hot 100. In Canada, the 2018 release debuted at number 22 on the Canadian Hot 100. In Europe, "DDU-DU DDU-DU" peaked at number 32 on the Scottish Singles and Albums Chart and at number 78 on the UK Singles Chart.

Red Velvet's Red Flavor is the Second Most Liked Girl Group Song in MelOn History
Coming in second place is Red Velvet's 2017 release, "Red Flavor," which has 232,051 likes on MelOn. The song was a huge hit on MelOn — so much so that in 2019, "Red Flavor" made MelOn's domestic "Top 100 Songs of the Past Decade (2010-2019)." ranking at number nine among idol groups and at 29 overall. "Red Flavor" was nominated for "Dance Award (Female)" at the 2017 Melon Music Awards (MMAs) but sadly did not win.

"Red Flavor" topped all seven Korean digital charts upon its release. "Red Flavor" topped the Gaon Digital Chart, making it the group's first number-one hit since their debut. "Red Flavor" debuted at number two on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100.
In the United States, "Red Flavor" debuted at number four on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart. In the Philippines, "Red Flavor" debuted at number 24 on the Billboard Philippine Hot 100, while in Japan, it debuted at number 25 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100.
