On April 10, EXO Baekhyun became the main character of Export News's Idol Encyclopedia, the Korean news outlet's segment honoring various top artists in the music scene.

In particular, the article highlighted that when you search the word "genius idol" on Google, one name will only pop up, and that belongs to the prominent soloist, Baekhyun. In the list of honorific titles on the internet, the male idol also joined notable musicians, with his "Genius Idol" title.

As he released his third-mini album, "Bambi," Baekhyun once again proved his relentless influence and strong fandom base, redeeming why he is called a "genius" of the K-pop industry.

1. Outstanding Idol Despite Short Trainings

In particular, Baekhyun was scouted by SM Entertainment which is an agency known for its long-standing trainee training system, to the point that some trainees are giving up along the process.

Kenzie, a songwriter of SM Entertainment also agreed that only Baekhyun can sing his songs the way he does it.

For his second-mini album, Baekhyun set a milestone by achieving his first million-seller as a solo artist with the album, the first artist to achieve this record in 19 years since Kim Gun Mo in 2001.

With "Bambi" as well, the top star once again set a new record after earning the highest pre-order sales (868,000 copies) by a Korean solo artist, raising his name and nickname of "Genius Idol."

It is expected that Baekhyun will earn his second million-selling album and rose as a "double million-seller" in the upcoming month.
