MAMAMOO Wheein Hits No. 1 on Domestic Charts with 'Water Color' + Song Tops over 10 iTunes Charts

MAMAMOO Wheein is finally back with a new mini-album titled "Redd," which features the title track "Water Color." After its release, the song not only climbed to the top of a domestic chart, but it also landed on the No. 1 spot of more than 10 iTunes charts.

MAMAMOO Wheein Makes a Comeback with "Redd" Mini-Album

On April 13, Wheein released a new a new solo mini-album entitled "Redd," and also dropped the music video for the title track "Water Color." "Water Color" is about being confident and knowing oneself in each situation you encounter.

The physical album "Redd" also includes an English version of "Water Color," which will be released through various music sites at a later date.

This marked Wheein's first comeback in more than one year since her first single album, "Soar," which came out in September 2019.

MAMAMOO Wheein's "Water Color" Scores No. 1 on Domestic Charts and Over 10 iTunes Charts

Shortly after the "Redd" mini-album was released, the title track "Water Color" quickly ranked first on various domestic charts, such as the real-time charts of Bugs and Genie, as well as on MelOn's Latest 24Hits. Wheein's new solo track also landed on MelOn's 24Hits.

Based on the daily chart, "Water Color" is at No. 5 on Bugs, No. 18 on Genie, and No. 47 as of press time.

In addition, "Water Color" attracted many global fans and dominated the iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 13 countries around the world. These include Czech Republic, Malaysia, Singapore, Brazil, the Philippines, Indonesia, and more.

On the worldwide iTunes Song chart, Wheein's "Water Color" ranked tenth with 8,708 points. It is the only new K-pop song within the top 10.

Meanwhile, "Water Color" is currently in second place on the iTunes Top 100 K-pop Songs. "Butterfly," which is also included in the "Redd" album, claimed the No. 8 spot.

MAMAMOO Wheein's new album also entered iTunes charts in other countries. "Redd" landed on No. 3 in Australia, Chile, New Zealand, and Turkey. The album also ranked fifth in various such countries such as Vietnam, Russia, Denmark, France, United States, United Kingdom, and more.

Besides the iTunes Top Albums Chart, Wheein's "Redd" also made it to the worldwide iTunes Album chart. It is currently at No. 3 with a total of 16,942 points.

Album Sales on Gaon and Hanteo Charts of MAMAMOO Wheein's "Redd"

When it comes to album sales, Wheein's new release earned more than 15,000 in just two days. As of April 13, "Redd" already sold a total of 17,114 copies on the Hanteo chart, making it the bestselling album by a female act that day.

On April 14 at 12:30 p.m. KST, the mini-album sold 5,759 copies, totaling 22,873 copies of "Redd" sold on the Hanteo Chart.

Meanwhile, on Gaon Chart, MAMAMOO Wheein is currently sitting at No. 3 on the Daily Retail Album Chart. Based on the data, "Redd" has 89 copies sold as of April 14.
