BTS Jimin is the Spotify Solo King, Sets Outstanding Record with Four Songs

BTS Jimin has made history on Spotify with only four solo tracks!

The four songs by Jimin uploaded to Spotify are "Lie" (2016), "Serendipity" (2017) - both intro and full versions - and "Filter" (2020).

On April 27, these four solo tracks attained remarkable streams altogether on Spotify. In the past weeks, these singles managed to garner 20,281,044 additional streams overall.

It was revealed that the idol hit more than 500 million total streams, and it is almost about to reach 600 million. BTS Jimin's "Life," "Serendipity," and "Filter" outstandingly reached 597,742,649 streams on Spotify.

With this, BTS member Jimin has become the first and only Korean solo artist to ever obtain this major milestone on Spotify. And hence extending the reputation of being the "Spotify Solo King."

Notably, the songs are all B-sides. Moreover, it took 1659 days or more than four years for Jimin's solo songs to achieve 500 million total streams.

Global fans congratulated the "Filter" singer on attaining his new record on Spotify. Keywords such as "#JiminSpotify500M," "SPOTIFY KING JIMIN," "Congratulations Jimin," and more, occupied the real-time trends on Twitter all over the world, including countries like South Korea, Morocco, Algeria, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Peru, Poland, and Malaysia.

BTS Jimin Records Impressive Streams for Each of His Solo Track on Spotify

On top of that, the idol has also set an all-time record for each of his tracks, dominating the platform that has 345 million users in 93 countries.

The 2016 single "Lie" reached a total of 133,680,047 streams, the third-highest among the four songs of BTS member Jimin. Also, it is the first and only solo track from the "Wings" album to surpass 130 million streams on the platform.

Moreover, Jimin's "Lie" is the most-streamed of 2016 and the sixth most-listened-to among Korean solo tracks. It is regarded as one of the best as it continues to be popular even after years have already gone by. What makes this achievement special is that it is the BTS member's first work as a songwriter and composer.

The full version of BTS Jimin's "Serendipity," which was released in 2017, recorded a total of 133,922,598 streams, the second-highest amongst his solo tracks. It follows the achievement of the music video hitting 100 million views on YouTube.

Apart from the full rendition of "Serendipity," the intro is also continuing a record streak. As of April 27, the "Intro: Serendipity" has 86,421,273 streams on Spotify. The two versions have overall streams of 220,343,871.

Lastly, "Filter" by BTS member Jimin is a popular solo track around the world that held a splendid debut with the highest streams in the first 24 hours among the songs by Korean solo artists released in 2020.

"Filter" surpassed 146 million streams on April 26, the fastest among the K-pop solo tracks to do so.

"Filter" has been the most-streamed Korean B-side and Korean solo track on Spotify for four days in a row. On April 26, it is the fifth most-streamed K-pop song on the platform.
