HOT ISSUE Lands Debut Song and Album on Domestic and International Music Charts
New girl group HOT ISSUE has seen success on their debut as their album and song made it to domestic and international music charts.
On April 28, S2 Entertainment's seven-member female act, HOT ISSUE, made their debut with their first mini-album titled "ISSUE MAKER." The rookie group quickly received great attention not only from fans in South Korea but also overseas.
HOT ISSUE Enters Domestic and International Music Charts with Debut Song and Album
On April 28, the septet dropped their mini-album "ISSUE MAKER" together with the music video for the title track "GRATATA." Quickly after the album was released, it entered the real-time album chart of Bugs, one of the major music charts in Korea.
HOT ISSUE's "ISSUE MAKER" also made it to the iTunes Worldwide Album Chart. Moreover, it landed on iTunes Top 100 K-pop Albums chart, claiming the No. 3 spot.

The music video for the rookie group's debut song, "GRATATA" also received global attention. The MV secured a spot on the Worldwide YouTube Chart and also ranked high on the platform in countries like Taiwan, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
On top of that, HOT ISSUE is creating an unusually high ranking on search trends on Twitter for a newly debuted girl group. The septet is ranking at the top after some of the biggest acts in K-pop such as TWICE, ITZY, and BLACKPINK in the girl group rankings on the platform.
Chairman Hong Seung Seong, who is dubbed as the "Hand of the idol Midas," is paying attention to whether the girl group, the first act to be introduced after the establishment of S2 Entertainment, will create a "hot issue" in the music industry.
Who is HOT ISSUE?
HOT ISSUE is a new girl group formed by S2 Entertainment this year. The band is made up of seven members, namely Nahyun, Mayna, Yewon, Dana, Hyeongshin, Yebin, and Dain.
The "HOT" from the group name denotes "Honest, Outstanding, and Terrific." As a whole, the name expresses a strong passion to create only honest and excellent issues in the industry.

Ahead of their debut, HOT ISSUE Dana was a child actress. She appeared on the 2012 JTBC drama "Happy Ending" and the 2013 SBS drama "One Well-Raised Daughter." Meanwhile, Mayna is a former participant in the Chinese survival program, "Produce 1010 China, however, she was eliminated in the seventh episode.
As for Hyeongshin, she is previously part of the pre-debut girl group ALLS-GIRL and the pre-debut co-ed subunit of D-Crunch, called Geupsik-Dan. Hyeongshin and Dain were contestants on the competition survival show, "Cap-Teen."
On April 28, the new girl group made their official debut in the K-pop industry. Their first mini-album, "ISSUE MAKER" consists of a total of five songs including the title track "GRATATA."
HOT ISSUE"s "GRATATA" is defined as an up-tempo dance song with powerful percussion and synth sounds. AIMING produced the single, which conveys the rookie group's goal to become snipers who can gain the attention of the public.
