ITZY's "Mafia in the Morning" Becomes Their Fastest MV to Reach 100 Million Views on YouTube

On April 30, ITZY made returned with a new album titled "GUESS WHO." The album was accompanied by a music video for the title track "Mafia in the Morning."

The "Mafia in the Morning" music video gained a lot of attention that it hit 50 million views in only three days and 70 million views in a week since it was released.

From May 14 to 20, the music video for "Mafia in the Morning" was the No. 2 most-viewed MV on YouTube Korea, having 3.99 million views. In the same period, ITZY ranked third on the list of girl groups with the most views on YouTube Korea with 5.6 million overall views.

On May 23 at 12:33 a.m. KST, the music video for ITZY's "Mafia in the Morning" exceeded 100 million views on YouTube, becoming the fifth MV of the group to do so following "DALLA DALLA," "ICY," WANNABE," and "Not Shy."

ITZY dropped the music video for "Mafia in the Morning" on April 30 at 1 p.m. KST. This means the milestone was attained after 22 days, 11 hours, and 30 minutes, becoming the quintet's new personal record of shortest time to hit the 100-million mark on YouTube.

Their previous record was set by "Not Shy," the title track of ITZY's previous album of the same name that was released in August last year. The music video for "Not Shy" reached 100 million YouTube views in one month, 10 days, and one hour.

In addition to this, ITZY's "Mafia in the Morning" is now the fastest music video released in 2021 and the fastest MV of a fourth-generation K-pop group to hit 100 million views on YouTube to date.

Furthermore, ITZY's "Mafia in the Morning" now sits at No. 10 on the list of fastest female Korean acts to reach 100 million YouTube views. It comes after TWICE's "Feel Special," and the song sitting at No. 1 is BLACKPINK's "How You Like That."

ITZY's Other Recent Achievements with "Mafia in the Morning"

Apart from having five music videos with 100 million views on YouTube, ITZY has also landed all of their five title tracks inside the top 10 of the Gaon Digital Chart.

Their comeback song "Mafia in the Morning" debuted at No. 10 on the May 20 rankings of the Gaon Chart. The track accumulated a total of 16,388,859 points.

Considering this, ITZY has become the only fourth-generation idol group to chart all of their title tracks within the Gaon Digital Chart Top 10. In addition to their comeback track, the other songs are "DALLA DALLA," "ICY," "WANNABE," and "Not Shy."

Furthermore, ITZY's "Mafia in the Morning" has become the fastest girl group song to garner one million unique listeners on MelOn this 2021.
