Why Do People Think ITZY's Ryujin and NCT's Haechan Are Dating?
Recently, NCT member Haechan held a solo live stream through V Live. During the live stream, Haechan was seen using his iPad tablet to read fan's comments, and at one point, his personal V Live application was exposed.
When Haechan noticed that his screen was in view of the camera, he hurried to cover the lens.
Fans quickly discovered that Haechan was only following two channels with his personal account — NCT and ITZY.
Many were surprised that out of all of the groups he could follow, he chose to follow ITZY. Speculations started to rise that Haechan was romantically linked with a member of the girl group.
This is not the first time Haechan and Ryujin have been accused of dating. In the past, netizens brought up how the two had matching "couple items," such as Bluetooth headphones and phone cases.
Others also mentioned that the ITZY members noted that nowadays, Ryujin has started dolling herself up. However, Ryujin states that it is because buying clothes is more fun than she initially assumed.
How Did the Online Community React to These Speculations?
Some internet users and fans alike believe that something may be going on between the two. They noted how odd it is that Haechan looked so surprised when his personal V Live screen was open and how guilty he appeared as he covered the lenses.
As the rumors between Haechan and Ryujin have been going on for a while, many believe this solidifies it.
Others, however, wonder if he is simply just a fan of ITZY. Perhaps he is a MIDZY? After all, idols can be fans of other groups too!
Neither JYP Entertainment (ITZY's label) nor SM Entertainment (NCT's label) has commented on the situation.
Haechan's Recent Activities
Haechan participated in NCT Dream's comeback with their first studio album, "Hot Sauce," on May 10, 2021. The title track, also named "Hot Sauce," is a hip-hop song with an afrobeat.
Dubbed as a minimal track, NCT Dream's unique vocal signature stands out and gets stuck in your head.
Lyrically, "Hot Sauce" talks about NCT Dream's strong charm, which is stimulating like hot sauce. You cannot escape once you taste NCT!
The album previously made headlines after it was announced that they sold over 1.71 million copies in pre-orders, making NCT Dream official million sellers.

Ryujin's Recent Activities
Ryujin participated in ITZY's comeback with their fourth mini-album "Guess Who" on Apr. 30, 2021. The title track "Mafia in the Morning" is a powerful hip-hop song with an addictive dance-trap production. The song lyrically talks about stealing someone's heart without them knowing.

"Guess Who" debuted at the top of the Gaon Retail Album Chart. On the Gaon Weekly Album Chart, "Guess Who" peaked at number two, while it debuted at number five on the Gaon Monthly Album Chart. All six songs from the album entered the Gaon Download Chart.
"Guess Who" peaked at number 148 on the Billboard 200 chart, making ITZY the seventh Korean female artist to break into the chart after BoA, Girls' Generation, 2NE1, BLACKPINK, TWICE, and LOONA. Additionally, "Guess Who" debuted at number 2 on the World Album Chart and number one on the US Heatseekers Album.
