Highly-Anticipated BTS Meal Finally Arrives at McDonald's

Since fast-food giant McDonald's has announced its BTS Meal last month, fans around the world have been anticipating this exclusive treat - and the day has finally arrived.

Starting May 26, fans and foodies everywhere can start enjoying the much-awaited meal. Additionally, McDonald's also revealed a number of treats from the recent collaboration with BTS.

McDonald's x BTS

The BTS Meal features a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium World Famous Fries, medium Coke®, with Sweet Chili and Cajun dipping sauces - inspired by recipes from McDonald's South Korea, the Big Hit Entertainment boy group's home country. McDonald's is offering this treat across participating branches in the US.

Additionally, the fast-food giant has dropped a new TV commercial featuring none other than the BTS members themselves: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Set to the group's latest hit "Butter," the seven members take turns introducing what goes into the BTS Meal. The 37-second ad ends with all seven members offering the latest meal, with member V snatching a McNugget to the surprise of his groupmates. The same ad, currently available on the McDonald's official YouTube channel, was also aired across primetime TV slots in the US.

But the treats, especially for the global BTS ARMY, do not stop there. McDonald's will also drop an exclusive McDonald's x BTS merch line through the Weverse Shop app - the e-commerce portal of the South Korean fan interaction app, also owned by Big Hit Entertainment's mother company, HYBE Corporation. The merch line includes threads like hats, Sweet Chili, and Cajun sauce designs for tote bags, BTS hoodies, as well as bathrobes, socks, and sandals in the group's signature purple color.

Lastly, users of the McDonald's App will get exclusive access to four straight weeks of all-new, never-before-seen digital content featuring BTS.

"Seeing the passion and anticipation from our fans worldwide since we announced the BTS Meal has been incredible," says Morgan Flatley, McDonald's Chief Marketing and Digital Customer Experience Officer, in the company's newsroom release. He adds that this only marks the beginning, as the fast-food giant prepares "to give customers even more ways to experience this collaboration in the coming weeks," referring to the merch line and exclusive app access.
