BIGBANG G-Dragon and Kwanghee's Past Text Messages Touch Fans' Hearts

Recently, past text messages between BIGBANG's leader and rapper, G-Dragon, and Hwang Kwanghee from sometime in 2016 have begun resurfacing in various online communities.

The text messages were first released to the public when G-Dragon and Hwang Kwanghee became close friends after working together in the popular MBC variety show, "Infinite Challenge" back in 2016.

Hwang Kwanghee first joined "Infinite Challenge" in early 2015, however, he faced a lot of criticism from loyal fans of the variety show. While going through a difficult period, he revealed that the "Crayon" rapper had sent him a message that made his heart feel touched.

G-Dragon's text message

In the text message that G-Dragon sent, he said, "Hey Kwanghee, how are you? I have been watching you on the show. There's a lot going on your mind lately, I assume." He then reassured Hwang Kwanghee, saying that he is doing well on the show and shouldn't worry.

He also told him to be confident in himself, "You're funny, alright? Don't put yourself in too much pressure." G-Dragon ends his sweet message by telling Hwang Kwanghee that although he can't keep in touch with him as he's really busy, he should know that he is always rooting for him.

However, when Hwang Kwanghee first received the text message, he reponded with, "Who's this?" as it came from an unknown number.

G-Dragon then replied, saying he had changed his number. "It's me, Ji-yong" (G-Dragon's real name), said G-Dragon, and added a cute dizzy emoji.

Hwang Kwanghee, who was surprised, thanked G-Dragon for his support. The conversation ended with G-Dragon telling Hwang Kwanghee to keep his chin-up.

Fans who saw the resurfaced text messages between the two friends left many comments, saying that it's the sweetest thing they have seen and that G-Dragon is so caring and kind. While others found the part where Hwang Kwanghee asked who the person was funny.

Hwang Kwanghee Teamed Up With BIGBANG's G-Dragon and Taeyang for an "Infinite Challenge" Performance

Hwang Kwanghee became close with G-Dragon and Taeyang when they teamed up to form a project group, make an original song, and perform on "Infinite Challenge" during the show's song festival special in 2015, which featured other musicians such as IU, Hyukoh, Park Jin Young, and more.

The trio had named their group "HwangTaeJi," a combination of their names. During the show, they were seen spending time together as friends while working on an energetic song, which was eventually called "Mapsosa."

During the live song festival, which was attended by more than a hundred fans, HwangTaeJi gave a show-stopping performance and an amazingly catchy song.
