BIGBANG Taeyang Thanks Fans for Birthday Letters and Hints at a Comeback

BIGBANG Taeyang Expresses Gratitude to Fans for Birthday Greetings and Hints at a Comeback
On May 17, Taeyang posted a long message via his Instagram story to thank the fans, who congratulated him in advance for his birthday and sent him letters and gifts.

The BIGBANG member said in the post that he read all of the birthday letters from the fans, without leaving a single one out. He added that he is spending every day happier thanks to VIP "Very Important Person" (BIGBANG's fan club).
BIGBANG Taeyang then shared that he can't help but laugh while he reads the letters from the fans since he could remember the moments he shared with them.
The "Fantastic Baby" singer further said that he feels sorry and sad as he wonders if he deserves the big amount of love he is receiving from fans even though he lacks in so many things.

BIGBANG member Taeyang went on to thank the fans for the online exhibit, birthday letters, and gifts. "I will gather strength from the love you are giving me and will do my best to meet you soon. Please wait a little longer until then, and above all, let's do our best to stay healthy and meet again," he continued.
Taeyang concluded the post by noting that the messages he read were the ones written in the book of the collection of letters fans created for him.
Fans are now hoping for a comeback as BIGBANG Taeyang asked them to wait to see him again, plus he mentioned doing his best to meet them again.

BIGBANG Taeyang's Last Release, "White Night"
Taeyang has not released any single or album after his third studio album "White Night," which was launched back in August 2017. This makes "White Night" his latest release.
"White Night" features two title tracks, "Darling" and "Wake Me Up." "Darling" entered the top 10 of the Gaon Digital Chart, while "Wake Me Up" charted at No. 5 on Billboard World Digital Song Sales.

BIGBANG Taeyang's "White Night" also received love as it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard World Albums chart. It remained on the top spot in the following week, becoming the second album by a K-pop artist to do so. Moreover, Taeyang's "White Night" peaked at No. 3 on the Gaon Album Chart with more than 57,000 copies sold in August.
After he dropped the album, BIGBANG member Taeyang started his mandatory military service in March 2018, serving as an active-duty soldier. Because of this, he was inactive in the entertainment industry for 21 months of one year and nine months. He was discharged in November 2019 with his bandmate, Daesung.
