Usher Shares a Tik Tok Video Using BTS's "Butter"

On May 21 KST, Big Hit Music's hit super group, BTS, returned with their second all-English digital single, "Butter," which has since then been breaking records left and right, both domestic and international.

With "Butter" smoothing its way into the hearts of many and continues to gain global popularity, it has also caught the eyes of numerous celebrities and stars, and just recently, the song made its way to American singer-songwriter, Usher!

On June 4 at around 2am KST, Usher shared on his Tik Tok account a video with him using BTS's "Butter," in the part where the seven-member group mentions the singer's name in the lyrics. The lyrics, which is sung by V, goes like: "Don't need no Usher, to remind me you got it bad."

In the Tik Tok video, Usher can be seen wearing an oversized fur coat while donning an all-black suit, paired with his signature gold accessories and a briefcase, in what we assume to be during the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards.

After asking a female in the background - presumably Usher's girlfriend, Jennifer Goicoechea - if she was ready, Usher begins to strut out in a cool, fabulous, and smooth-like butter fashion.

Usher also shared the Tik Tok video on his official Twitter account, which caught the eyes of ARMY, BTS's fandom. Just a few minutes after Usher shared the video, the tweet was bombarded with positive reactions from ARMY. In addition, ARMY trended "JIMIN WAKE UP" at around 3am KST, so that the BTS member could see Usher's video.

Jimin is known to be a fan of Usher. In a past interview while the group was in the United States, they were asked who their dream collaboration would be, to which Jimin enthusiastically responded with Usher.

Coldplay's Chris Martin Recommends BTS's "Butter"

Another celebrity that took notice of BTS's "Butter" is British rock band, Coldplay's vocalist, Chris Martin.

Back in May 27, Chris Martin had shared on his personal Twitter account a screenshot of his notes, which contains a list of recommendations from the British vocalist himself.

In the note, he greets his fans and thanks them for their messages, as well as sending them love from wherever they are in the world. He then gives a list of films, books, and songs that he found helpful and wonderful; and listed in the third bullet is BTS's "Butter"!

BTS is also a fan of Coldplay, with V sharing how it would be a dream for him to collaborate with the rock band.

Earlier this year, BTS did a cover of Coldplay's "Fix You" for MTV Unplugged.
