BLING BLING Talks about the Album's Title Track, Music Video Filming, and More in Exclusive Interview
On May 21, BLING BLING dropped their first mini-album, "CONTRAST," which features the title track "Oh MAMA."
This album marks the first-ever comeback of the rookie group. During the interview, they were asked to share if they felt any difference while preparing "CONTRAST" from their debut with "G.G.B."
MAJOR9's K-pop girl group responded that they thought of doing better than their debut during their comeback preparations.
"So, we gave more effort and practiced hard for this comeback. We also liked how we could input our thoughts and ideas into our content," BLING BLING added.
About their new song, "Oh MAMA," the new girl group explained that like the album's title ("CONTRAST"), this track shows both the "chic and cool" side, as well as the "lovely and affectionate" image, of the members.
"As the name suggests, we want to show contrasting sides," BLING BLING added. The female act then asked the fans to look forward to the performance of "Oh MAMA," where they will make use of skirts and fingers.
In addition to the "CONTRAST" album, MAJOR9's new girl group also dropped the music video for "Oh MAMA." Regarding the filming of the MV, they shared a notable moment while they were shooting.
BLING BLING revealed that there is a scene in the "Oh MAMA" music video where member JiEun is wielding a heavy hammer and a flag.
"In the music video it looks cool, but in reality, it took a lot of effort because those were super heavy," they said. Their effort surely paid off as the music video came out great!
Meanwhile, BLING BLING is currently doing promotions for their first mini-album, "CONTRAST." They told KpopStarz that they are preparing a variety of content for the fans, so make sure to stay tuned for their upcoming announcements.

What was the most memorable moment of preparing for your first comeback?
It feels like every moment was memorable, but we remember our photoshoot (for the album cover). People worked hard on it and had great results. It was a blissful day.
Are there any other concepts that you would like to try in the future?
We have so many concepts that we haven't tried yet. So, instead of focusing on one concept, we'd like to display a variety of styles. We want to show that BLING BLING can do well in an array of genres.
Besides the title track "Oh MAMA," which other songs from the album "CONTRAST" would you like to recommend to the fans?
We recommend "Milkshake." It is quite different from "Oh MAMA" and features our fresh and lovely side, so we hope you listen to it.
