SNSD Taeyeon Shares Meaningful Post Slamming Hate on Her Instagram Story

On July 7, Girls' Generation Taeyeon posted a meaningful quotation with the hashtag #Jjaljub (picked up somewhere) on her Instagram Story at midnight.

In the post, the photo contained meaningful words that seemed to represent Taeyeon's innermost thoughts that she wanted to share with her fans.

It said, " If you're fat, they said you are fat. If you're skinny, then you are sick. If you wear loose clothes, you look like a man. But if you wear it tight, it's too revealing. If you eat a lot, you are a pig. If you eat a little, you're picky. If you like luxury goods, you're a doenjang girl. (materialistic). If you like cheap goods, you don't know how to look pretty."

She added, "It's better to live your life as you please because everyone will find a way to badmouth you."

Though Taeyeon didn't imply who the message was for, fans conclude it was an indirect post to malicious commenters. Others thought it was women-empowering, especially for those who are always criticized for their appearance - a message that's tacked by Taeyeon's "Weekend."

Taeyeon's new song "Weekend" is a disco-pop genre song that combines cheerful guitar and retro synth sound. In the lyrics, it expresses the desire to leave freely and as attracted as it is on weekends.

In particular, her song contained lyrics such as "It's okay to do whatever I like," adding, "I can do whatever I want."

The music video also catches the eye as it contains Taeyeon's refreshing charm of enjoying a sweet holiday away from her daily life for a while.

SNSD Taeyeon Reacts to Leaked "Weekend" MV

Taeyeon opened up about her leaked MV during her V Live broadcast on July 6.

In KBS2's entertainment program, "Mr. House Husband," Taeyeon's MV came out at the end of the program prior to its release. What's shocking is that it was not a teaser, but the actual MV played for about 20 seconds.

Viewers then wondered then if it was actually a marketing ploy to promote the idol's new song.

Taeyeon then responded, "A lot of people asked if it's a promotion. No one would promote like this. It was so surprising."

Though KBS is yet to release their official stand about the leaked MV, Taeyeon closed the issue on a good note, saying, "I thought it would be better to play it in advance, since fans are curious about it. I will embrace it in a good way."
