ENHYPEN Surpasses TXT's Highest First-Week Sales Record on the Oricon Chart in One Day

ENHYPEN's Japanese album "BORDER: Transient" has broken the first-week sales record set by TXT on the Oricon Chart with "DRAMA" in just one day.

On July 6, ENHYPEN made their official Japanese debut with their first single album, entitled "BORDER: Transient."

The new K-pop group achieved an impressive amount of copies sold within a day and eventually set a new record on the Oricon Chart for a fourth-generation boy group.

ENHYPEN Breaks TXT's Highest First-Week Sales Record on the Oricon Chart

According to the Oricon Daily Album chart for single albums, ENHYPEN's Japanese album debuted at No. 1 after selling 150,254 copies on July 6 alone.

"BORDER: Transient" was the only single album that day to sell more than 100,000 copies. The second-highest amount was 4,567 copies sold by Qumali Depart with "Limit Infinity Ken%."

With their first-day sales, ENHYPEN's "BORDER: Transient" has already become eligible for gold certification in Japan.

What's more impressive is that ENHYPEN broke the highest first-week sales record on the Oricon Chart of a fourth-generation K-pop boy group in one day.

The previous record was set by TXT's "DRAMA," which sold a total of 92,293 copies from Aug. 19 to 25 in 2020.

Furthermore, ENHYPEN's Japanese album, "BORDER: Transient" effortlessly surpassed the cumulative sales of TXT's albums: "MAGIC HOUR" and "DRAMA."

As of April 12, TXT's "MAGIC HOUR" and "DRAMA" have sold a total of 114,127 copies and 101,107 copies in Japan, respectively.

This makes ENHYPEN's "BORDER: Transient" the best-selling album by a fourth-generation boy group on the Oricon Chart to date.

Additionally, "BORDER: Transient" is now the best-selling album released in 2021 by a fourth-generation K-pop boy group on the Oricon Chart, beating the record set by their own album "BORDER: CARNIVAL."

As of July 6, ENHYPEN's "BORDER: CARNIVAL" has sold 113,157 total copies in Japan.

ENHYPEN Matches the Sales of IZ*ONE, BTS, SEVENTEEN, and TVXQ on the Oricon Chart

With their first-day sales for "BORDER: Transient," ENHYPEN attained more milestones on the Oricon Chart.

ENHYPEN is now the second fourth-generation idol group in history to sell more than 100,000 copies for a single album in Japan on the first day of sales, following IZ*ONE.

Moreover, the septet has set a new record for the highest first-day sales among the fourth-generation K-pop boy groups.

ENHYPEN has surpassed the first-day sales record of 66,924 copies set by TXT "DRAMA" on Aug. 19, 2020.

Because of this, "BORDER: Transient" now holds the fourth-highest first-day sales on the Oricon Chart in history among the albums released by fourth-generation idol groups.

The first three places are held by IZ*ONE's albums: "Suki To Iwasetai" (No. 1), "Buenos Aires" (No. 2), and "Vampire" (No. 3).

Furthermore, ENHYPEN has become the fourth K-pop boy group to sell more than 150,000 copies for a single album on the first day of sales on the Oricon Chart.

The first three boy groups to do so are BTS, SEVENTEEN, and TVXQ.

Considering their first-day sales of 150,254 copies, ENHYPEN sits at No. 6 on the list of highest first-day sales of single albums released by K-pop boy groups on the Oricon Chart.

While BTS secured the first three places on the list, SEVENTEEN took the No. 4 spot, and TVXQ claimed the No. 5 position.
