On July 8, JYP Entertainment which is home to top-tier girl groups such as Wonder Girls, MissA, TWICE, and ITZY, announced their plan to debut a new girl group next year.

Though the complete lineup is yet to be unveiled in 2022, fans on various Korean online communities discussed the female trainees that are prospective members of the new girl group.

According to fans, the first candidate is Lily M, who was born in 2002 and is 20 years old this year. After ITZY debuted, she is now the longest trainee after being in the agency for seven years. With her outstanding singing skills, fans are expecting her to be the main vocalist if she will make it to the final lineup.

Next is Oh Haewon, who is known for her vocal and dance skills. The female trainee is born in 2003 and is training for about four years under the agency.

Another trainee that is gaining much anticipation from K-pop fans is Ahn Yuna, a 04-liner trainee who initially gained popularity in Japan. Ahn joined in JYP Entertainment's Nizi Project Season 1 but unfortunately didn't make it in the final lineup.

In addition to them, other candidates that are included are Lee Hayul, who was born in 2003, Lee Jiwoo, who was born in 2005, Gyujin, who was born in 2006, and Jin Sol, who was born in 2004.

There is already a huge expectation of what will be the concept of JYP's new girl group. Following the success of TWICE, ITZY, and NiziU, there is also an anticipation of how will the new girl group carve their own image in the music scene.

Pre-Sale Period for "Blind Package" of JYP's New Girl Group to Start from July 16 to July 25

Meanwhile, JYP Entertainment earlier announced the launch of a new girl group through its new SNS channel 'JYPn.'On July 8 and 9, a "Blind Package" teaser photo and video were uploaded, respectively, confirming the debut of a new girl group in 2022.

Though the group is yet to be launched next year, JYP is already promoting the group through the "Blind Package." In particular, the pre-sale period for the package will run from July 16 to July 25 and will be released in February 2022.

According to the agency, the package will contain limited edition items, including the CD, photo book, photo cards, premium membership cards for its fandom, and many more.

As a response, there's a divided opinion about the "Blind Package." There are K-pop fans, particularly those who are supporting JYP groups who are excited to purchase it. However, there are K-pop enthusiasts who are skeptical about the kind of promotion JYP will have, as the members aren't even announced yet.

Nevertheless, the response of the netizens, either positive or negative, will be determined after the pre-selling period.
