BamBam Unveils What He Thinks Made GOT7 Successful

BamBam shares with GQ Thailand what he thinks helped GOT7 become a successful K-pop boy group.

On July 19, GQ Thailand released their recent interview with GOT7 BamBam through their official website. One of the questions that were asked to the "riBBon" singer is about the aspects he thinks led his group to fame.

BamBam Tells GQ Thailand What He Thinks Led GOT7 to Success

In response to the question, BamBam said two key factors that helped GOT7 reach success.

GOT7 BamBam the first aspect is the language. He explained that there are not many bands like GOT7 with members who can speak multiple languages, such as Thai, American (English), Chinese, and Japanese.

GOT7 BamBam added that they don't need an interpreter to communicate with the fans, unlike most of the bands. The ABYSS artist said that language is the main point that has brought GOT7 to where they are at this point.

Another key factor of GOT7's success that BamBam mentioned to GQ Thailand is the strong friendship between the seven members.

BamBam shared that GOT7 members try to be themselves as much as possible. The "Pandora" singer added that there are many popular groups with members that aren't close but they have to pretend to.

"There is no such thing for me. I never think that I'm close with this one, but not with that one," GOT7 member BamBam said.

GOT7 BamBam later revealed to GQ Thailand that even though the members are separated at this time to work on their own, they still meet each other frequently and enjoy meals.

"In the entertainment industry, a few people are really close like this. I think you may know it," GOT7's rapper further stated.

BamBam concluded that many people just want to go viral (so they pretend to be close to others) and it is something that he doesn't like as it is fake.

GOT7 Bambam riBBon is the Best-Selling Album by a Soloist in June 2021

GOT7 BamBam's first solo album, "riBBon," was revealed to be the top-selling work by a solo artist for June 2021 on the Gaon Chart.

According to Gaon Chart, BamBam's "riBBon" recorded a total of 103,156 copies in June of the year. "riBBon" ranked seventh on the list of Top 10 best-selling albums on the platform.

Notably, BamBam's "riBBon" is the only solo album to sell more than 100,000 copies on the Gaon Chart in June 2021.

The latest ranking of "riBBon" on the Gaon Album Chart is No. 10 for the week ending on July 3.
