SNSD Hyoyeon Recalls Her Trainee Days When They Weren't Allowed to Go Out but They Still Did

Girls' Generation Hyoyeon unveiled that during her trainee days, they were prohibited from going out of SM Entertainment. However, they still did. Keep on reading to know why they did the other way around.

On Aug. 3, the latest episode of "Tell Me Somesing" was uploaded to the "SM C&C STUDIO" YouTube channel.

"Tell Me Somesing" is a YouTube content in which the hosts and the guest talk about various topics and listen or sing to songs while driving a car toward their preferred destination. Guests would also tell stories based on the tracks the driver plays.

SNSD Hyoyeon Talks about Her Trainee Days When They Sneak Out of SM Entertainment

During the ride, SNSD Hyoyeon recalled her trainee days when she would go to a particular street riding her scooters and bikes.

She added that she uses the manual scooter and not the electric one, surprising the hosts, one of which is Super Junior Shindong.

Hyoyeon went on to say that she has been riding her scooter since she was 12 years old. Her usual route was from Apgujeong-dong to Chungdam-dong and Samsung-dong.

When asked where she goes at that time at such a young age, Girls' Generation Hyoyeon revealed that there was a place where SM trainees visit to purchase boba tea.

SNSD Hyoyeon went on to say, "But we were dead once we got caught. We had to write justifications."

When asked why they have to do it, the "Gee" singer shared that SM trainees were not allowed to go out of SM Entertainment.

Despite the said rule, Hyoyeon said that they would still go out, buy some peach boba tea, and come back and pretended like they didn't go out. She continued that she was barely caught by SM staff at that time.

Super Junior Shindong also recalled the same scenario when he was still a trainee. He shared that when they were practicing, they went out during breaks.

Girls' Generation Hyoyeon to Release Her New Single "Second" featuring BIBI

In other news, SNSD Hyoyeon will be making a solo comeback this August with a new digital single.

Titled "Second," Hyoyeon's new single will feature female singer-songwriter BIBI. This will be the fifth time that she will have a featuring artist in her solo track.

Additionally, "Second" will be the fifth song Hyoyeon will release under her stage name DJ HYO, following "Sober," "Punk Right Now," "Badster," and "Dessert."

"Second" will be Hyoyeon's first song in almost nine months since "Think About Me," which was dropped through SM STATION in October last year.

Hyoyeon will be the second member of Girls' Generation to make a solo comeback this year, following Taeyeon, who returned with her single "Weekend."

On Aug. 4, several concept photos for Hyoyeon's solo comeback have been revealed.

Girls' Generation Hyoyeon's "Second" is due out on Aug. 9 at 6 p.m. KST.
