BLACKPINK Achieves 100 Million Streams on Spotify with 'Love to Hate Me'

BLACKPINK reached another milestone with their song "Love To Hate Me."

It has recently been announced by BLACKPINK's agency that the song "Love To Hate Me" finally reached more than 100 million streaming on Spotify.

On August 12, YG Entertainment said, "BLACKPINK's 'Love to Hate Me' has reached 100 million streams on Spotify." The song is a sidetrack of BLACKPINK's first-ever full album, "THE ALBUM." "Love to Hate ME" was released first last year in October. It is a dance pop song that confidently expresses the opposite sides of love and hate. It makes use of trendy beats and also a catchy hook, it has received a lot of love from the BLINKs (BLACKPINK's Fandom) worldwide.

BLACKPINK Dominates Spotify with 'Love To Hate Me'

"Love To Hate Me" is a track from BLACKPINK's first full album named "THE ALBUM", which was released on October 2, 2020. It has a genre of dance-pop and it features some contrasting emotions of love and hate. It is a remarkable song with a contemporary beat and a hook that makes the listener sing it in their head.

The global Korean girl group released 6 out of 8 songs from their first full-album namely: "How You Like That," "Ice Cream" (ft. Selena Gomez), "Lovesick Girls," "Pretty Savage," "Bet You Wanna," and "Love to Hate Me." The songs were on Spotify's billion-dollar streaming list.

The other two songs, "Crazy Over You" and "You Never Know," are also reaching 100 million streams as of now. BLACKPINK is now facing another popular symbol of "all songs on Spotify's regular album surpass 100 million streaming".

BLACKPINK's Songs get Million Streams on Spotify

So far, BLACKPINK has released over 1.7 billion streaming songs on Spotify for the time being. Three of their songs reached 400 million streams, in particular; "DDU-DU DDU-DU," "Kill This Love," and "How You Like That." This is a different record for a K-Pop girl group. This is a remarkable achievement, especially when Spotify is considered the leading player in the progress of the global music market together with YouTube.

In total, BLACKPINK's songs have reached approximately 17 billion streams on Spotify. Furthermore, the Global Korean Girl group has three songs that reached more than 400 million streams (the songs mentioned above). Because of this, BLACKPINK is the only K-pop girl group to have a record of three songs with more than 400 million streams. BLACKPINK still makes magnificent achievements on Spotify, which is the largest music platform in the world.

Aside from reaching their 5th year as a group, the girls received a lot of achievements and milestones not only as a group, but each member received their own recognition for the past week. Because of that, BLINKs are celebrating non-stop for the girls, and they still shower their idols with overflowing love and support.
