iKON Revealed to Be Preparing for a New Album + Jay Wants to Release a Solo Album
iKON is coming to town! It seems that iKON is currently preparing for their new album!
On August 18 KST, Marie Claire Korea released a set of photos and a sneak peek of their interview which features iKON member, Jay, formerly known as Jinhwan, as he is set to appear on the September 2021 issue of the magazine.
As season is transitioning to autumn, Marie Claire shared photos of Jay that gives off the feeling of the autumn season, featuring Jay holding a plant while wearing a blush-colored suit with a silk shirt, and a multicolor tweed sweater.

In an interview following his pictorial, it was revealed by Jay that iKON is currently preparing for a new album after taking a break after they appeared and competed on Mnet's reality and survival program, "Kingdom: Legendary War," which aired from April until June 2021.
He shares the the group wants to make good music that meets fans expectations, but at the same time, they feel impatient as they don't want fans to wait too long for the new album. In addition, they are also working on making better music.
Besides the six-member group preparing for a new album, Jay also shares his desire to release his own solo album and pursuing a solo career.

iKON Drops Teaser for Upcoming Reality Show 'iKON's Type: One Summer Night'
On August 17, iKON dropped the teaser video of their upcoming reality show "iKON's Type: One Summer Night," which features a preview of the six members as they take on exciting and fun summer activities, eat delicious food, and bond with one another.
"iKON's Type: One Summer Night" is a healing and travel reality show that features the iKON members as they travel to Gangneung in the Gangwon Province, where they will spend some time together and just relax, while looking back on their careers and having a heart to heart talk with one another.
This will be the group's first reality show in over a year, and fans can watch the show through the Wavve app and Thailand's trueID. The show will premiere this coming August 20 at 11am KST, and will be broadcasted every Friday afterwards.
