Naver Webtoon and Hybe Collaborates on BTS Webtoon Series
Naver Webtoon will be collaborating with HYBE to promote the production of BTS Webtoons and web novels. This will be a big winning move towards the worldwide market.
Naver Webtoons and HYBE to create BTS Webtoons
At the Naver Online Meetup on August 18, Naver Webtoon CEO Kim Jun-Goo stated that the company would collaborate with a global entertainment company to promote a "supercasting" project that will produce a super IP (intellectual property rights) that will serve as original content the webtoons or web novels.
The original collaboration partners are HYBE and DC Comics. Naver Webtoon plans to make webtoons and web novels through collaborating with different artists under HYBE, among them is the Korean Boy Group, BTS, then create original webtoons with the use of DC Comics' worldview and characters.
However, this is not the first time that Naver Webtoon collaborates with BTS. In January 2019, Naver Webtoon has released "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt.0: Save Me," it is a webtoon that is containing BTS' worldview. The next webtoon project is expected to be on a larger scale because aside from BTS, Naver Webtoon will work with different artists under HYBE labels as well.
The other popular artists managed under HYBE Label include TXT, ENHYPEN, NU'EST, Seventeen, ZICO, and a lot more. It seems that this is NAver Webtoon's "hidden weapon, which they finally have decided to use in order to remain the No.1 ranked webtoon platform. Naver Webtoon is now competing against "Kakao Webtoon," which was launched at the beginning of August.

Naver Webtoons' Future Plans
The creations that were produced with this type of platform could be enjoyed by fans all over the world through Naver's "Global Story Tech Platform," it is a combination of Naver Webtoon and Wattpad.
Naver Webtoon CEO Kim Jun-goo stated that with the help of Naver's IP value chain, the hottest content in global entertainment will eventually come out. He added that the company will continue to make new discoveries so that the storytelling contents can come out as an essential element in the global entertainment industry.

Naver Webtoon plans to structure the stories that are connected to different HYBE artists. The exact stories in relation to the artist have not been revealed yet. However, there is a possibility that it will be about a story of an artist's growth and evolution to fame, or it will be a fiction story and the main characters will be the artists.
CEO Kim Jun-goo stated that as they create characters of new worlds together, they could showcase webtoons that will have new contents and are approachable to new users as well.
