Red Velvet Yeri Earns Praise for Stunning Visuals and Improved Dancing
On August 16, Red Velvet made their much-anticipated comeback with the mini-album "Queendom." The comeback of the SM Entertainment girl group became the focus of K-pop fans worldwide. Many are calling the comeback a success, with the album and its songs having high digital charts rankings as well as high album sales. Despite the controversy the group went through in the past year, the reactions of the public are also overwhelmingly positive.
Among the member, Yeri is one of the members receiving the most praise. The female idol is often the subject of criticism on online community forums, but for this comeback, Yeri is being praised for her improvement in terms of her dancing and her shining visuals.

Red Velvet held an online fan meeting on August 16 to commemorate the release of their mini-album. There, Yeri surprised many with her confidence in dancing, showing off her flexible and decisive movements. In the past, Yeri was criticized as the group's "dance hole" due to her slow movements, which is why many are impressed with her dance lines now.
Additionally, the idol appeared to have lost weight. Her weight loss paired with her stunning styling helped boost Yeri's visuals, which made her shine on stage even more.
When the teasers for "Queendom" were first released, Yeri was slammed for her unflattering make-up and styling. However, when they saw her in the fan meeting, people were pleasantly surprised over Yeri's bright stage appearance and makeup that compliments her fresh and youthful beauty.

Red Velvet Releases 'Queendom'
Back on June 9, 2021, SM Entertainment announced that Red Velvet was gearing for a comeback. From July 26 to August 1, Red Velvet held a promotional event on their Instagram titled "Queens Mystic General Store" to celebrate their seventh debut anniversary and their anticipated comeback.

On August 2, SM Entertainment announced that Red Velvet would be releasing their sixth mini-album, "Queendom," containing six songs. Then, on August 3, SM Entertainment released the promotional schedule for the comeback, which included promotional posters, concept photos, and a teaser for the music video.
Red Velvet released "Queendom" digitally on August 16. The physical version of "Queendom" was released on August 17.
