IZ*ONE's Honda Hitomi Praised for Her Remarkable Test of Proficiency in Korean Test Score

Back on August 19, former IZ*ONE and Japanese member Honda Hitomi recently took to her personal social media to share with fans the test results of her recent exam for TOPIK II (Test of Proficiency in Korean) score, which earned praise from numerous netizens!

Usually, foreign nationals who are seeking jobs in South Korea or for admission into universities in the country take the TOPIK exam as a requirement. And it seems like Honda Hitomi decided to take the intermediate and advanced level of the Korean proficiency test (TOPIK II), although she is no longer promoting in South Korea following the disbandment of IZ*ONE as of now - it shows just how much she still strives to improve!

According to Honda Hitomi's TOPIK II test score, the "Panorama" singer received a score of 215 out of 300, which lands her in the Level 5 rank. Along with her post, she explained that she only got a Level 5 due to her lacking just 15 more points to reach Level 6.

Despite that, Honda Hitomi promises to study even more and take the test again to receive a Level 6 rank.

According to TOPIK's level and passing marks, in order to receive a Level 6 rank - which is the highest rank - on TOPIK II, Honda Hitomi will need to score 230 marks or more out of 300.

Although the former IZ*ONE member is just 15 points shy away from Level 6, she was still praised by many for her results, especially noting how in the early days as a contestant on Mnet's survival reality program, "Produce 48," Honda Hitomi barely knew any Korean at all, and after just three years, she is practically fluent!

Many have praised the Japanese idol, with many commenting how it's not easy reaching her TOPIK II level, and that she is even better than some who were born and raised in South Korea. Many others are also hoping that Honda Hitomi comes back to promote in the country.

Meanwhile, after the disbandment of IZ*ONE back on April 29, 2021, the 12 members returned to their respective agencies, with the three Japanese members: Honda Hitomi, Miyawaki Sakura, and Yabuki Nako, returning to their hometowns in Japan on the same day.

Currently, Honda Hitomi returned as a member of J-Pop group AKB48, and is currently promoting their new song, "根も葉もRumor."
