Former IZ*ONE Member Choi Yena is Gearing Up to Make Solo Debut in the Latter Part of 2021
Choi Yena, a former member of the "Produce 48" debut group, IZ*ONE, has announced that she is currently preparing to make her solo debut in the second half of the year.
According to an exclusive coverage by Star News on August 10 KST, Choi Yena has confirmed her solo debut and is working on the preparations for her album. The format of her solo debut album, however, has not yet been revealed.

Choi Yena's upcoming solo debut will also mark her as the second IZ*ONE member since the group's disbandment who is preparing to make their solo debut, following fellow former member Kwon Eunbi, who is slated to make her solo debut this coming August 24.
After the official disbandment of IZ*ONE at the end of April earlier this year, Choi Yena has been showing off her charm and skills by appearing in various entertainment shows.

Choi Yena Reveals What She Hopes to Achieve in the Future
Back on July 27, Choi Yena appeared as a guest on MBC's "King of Masked Singer," where she showed off her beautiful vocals. She is also the fourth member of IZ*ONE to appear on the show, revealing that seeing fellow member Kim Chaewon appear on the show was healing and that she wanted to share the feeling with others too.
When she revealed herself to be Choi Yena, she revealed that it was her first time singing an entire song on her own, and because of that, she was really nervous and wanted to do well.

She also revealed how she first got into K-Pop, revealing that she had started watching Lee Hyori when she was just five years old. She then dreamed of becoming an idol because of 2NE1, stating that she wants to be like them.
Regarding what she hopes to achieve in the future, she shares that she wants to try a lot of diverse things this year, such as from singing and dancing, to going on TV.
