BTS Guests on 'Released', Drops 'Permission to Dance' Challenge + PTD MV Reaches 300 Million Views

BTS guests in a special episode of YouTube Original's music show "RELEASED" on September 10. Chris Martin, Coldplay's frontman has taken the lead and shared his experiences and feelings as a musician who is globally known. He also shared his stories about the "Permission to dance Challenge" with BTS.

BTS Introduces the Permission to Dance challenge compilation

On September 10, BTS introduced the "Permission to Dance Challenge" compilation through a special episode. Chris Martin stated regarding BTS' "Permission to Dance Challenge" that it is meaningful that they brought joy to a lot of people during the pandemic. He says that although it is not an easy situation, Chris feels love and respect for the Bangtan Boys.

"Permission to Dance Challenge" is a 15-second YouTube short video of choreography that uses an international sign language that says "fun," "dance" and "peace" in BTS' "Permission to Dance' music video. It is a "Global Dance Challenge" that was made and released to serve as a "Global Dance Challenge" that was held from July 23 to August 14.

During the special episode of "RELEASED," BTS stated that a lot of people from all over the world joined the "Permission to Dance Challenge." They added that when they saw the people who gave it, they felt grateful and the group received comfort and positive energy. They conveyed the emotion of "two-way" sympathy with people from around the world.

Also in the special episode, videos and special stories of some participants of the "Permission to Dance Challenge" have been revealed as well. BTS together with Chris Martin had an in-depth conversation while watching the video interviews of those who participated in the challenge that came from countries like the US, UK, Korea, Russia, and India.

Permission to Dance Challenge Unites people from all over the world

The music video for the shorts challenge version of "Permission to Dance" was released at 1 PM (KST) on September 10. Together with the cheerful melody of "Permission to Dance," the personality of people from different parts of the world who participated in the challenge goes on.

With the BTS' introduction of a new music video with the challenge video, people from all over the world were united with "Permission to Dance." Once again, it spread positive energy around the world, and the compilation of the submitted "Permission to Dance Challenge" videos ended the song beautifully.

BTS' 'Permission to Dance' Music Video hits 300 million views

The amount of YouTube views of "Permission to Dance," which was released worldwide in July, exceeded 300 million at 12:59 PM on September 10. This is BTS' 18th music video with 300 million YouTube views.

"Permission to Dance" is a light and exciting dance-pop genre song with lyrics that say "You can dance as you like, without permission." The song successfully topped the "Hot 100" on the US Billboard's main singles chart last July 24, and then the latest chart of "Weekly Streaming Ranking" released by Oricon Japan, the total number of playbacks surpassed 100 million.
