EXO Chanyeol to Play the Role of 'Rahman' for 'The Meisa's Song' + INFINITE L, Former B.A.P. Daehyun to Join Military Musical

On September 23, the military and creative musical "The Meisa's Song" unveiled its casting for an on-tact performance set in October.
Among the 31 soldiers who made it into the final lineup, EXO Chanyeol, INFINITE L, former B.A.P. member Jung Daehyun are announced to participate — along with the roles that they will be playing.
EXO Chanyeol Excites Fans After Confirmation that He Will Be Playing the Role of 'Rahman' for 'The Meisa's Song'
According to the news, Park Chanyeol, a member of EXO who is currently serving the military as an Army Private was cast to play the role of "Rahman." The character will revolve around the story of a boy from Kamur when he visited Korea while participating in a K-pop audition to find Meisa.
In particular, Rahman (EXO Chanyeol) has grown up experiencing various Korean cultures through the members of the UN Peacekeeping Army Unit dispatched to Kamur; thus explains his fluent Korean language skills.
He is expected to perform in various concepts as a person drawing attention among K-POP audition participants.
The musical officials expressed their expectations to the idol-musical actor by saying, "We are looking forward to how Park Chanyeol, who has been engaged in various activities with an extraordinary passion for music, such as group EXO, unit activities, and musical movie appearances, will create Rahman's stage, which has found hope through dancing and singing."

INFINITE Myungsoo (L), Former B.A.P Daehyun to Participate in 'The Meisa's Song' Along with Chanyeol — Here Are Their Roles
In particular, "The Meisa's Song" is hosted by the Army Headquarters and produced by Howfarms. The musical is set in two countries with completely different cultures: Kamur, a virtual country where civil wars have continued for a long time, and Korea, where K-POP auditions are held.
The story leads to the process of Rahman, born and raised in Kamur, who comes to Korea in search of Meisa (which means bright star in Kamur), a dispatched soldier who gave him dreams and hopes.
Along with Rahman, he will be accompanied by Yeon Joon Seok (to be played by INFINITE Myungsoo or L). Yeon Seok who has just lived in compliance with his parents' needs without any special dreams or goals, came to Kamur at the suggestion of a friend. He will then face major changes through time and a series of events as he spent time in Kamur.
INFINITE Kim Myungsoo (L), who combines singing and acting skills with several drama appearances, will challenge his first musical through "The Meisa's Song" and will show a new aspect that is different from what he has shown so far.
Furthermore, Jung Daehyun, a former member of the group B.A.P. will also join the musical lineup. The idol turned musical actor has been on the musical stage steadily since 2017. He will also be playing the role of Yeon Joon Seok, alternatingly with L.
Lastly, musical stars Brad Little and Michael Lee's names stand out among the casting lineups completed with soldiers selected through public auditions.
"The Meisa's Song," starring EXO Chanyeol is set to premiere on October 15th to 17th as an online streaming performance. Tickets will open at the end of this month before the performance.
