'Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha' OST Sees Surge in Spotify Streams + Meet the Person Behind 'Romantic Sunday', Car the Garden
As Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha raises viewers' curiosity about what will happen to the love story of Hong Doo Sik (Kim Seon Ho) and Yoon Hye Jin (Shin Min Ah), the streams of the show's OST Romantic Sunday is gaining more attention Spotify.
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is one of the most popular K-dramas lately, starring Shin Min Ah, Kim Seon Ho, and Lee Sang Yi. A remake of the 2004 film Mr. Hong, this rom-com series takes place in a fictional village of Gongjin.
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha OST Romantic Sunday Reaches New Peak in Spotify Streams
During the broadcast of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Episode 8 on Sept. 19, the clash between Hong Doo Sik (Kim Seon Ho) and Ji Seong Hyun (Lee Sang Yi) in winning Yoon Hye Jin's (Shin Min Ah) heart is starting to begin.
Doo Sik's jealousy is becoming more intense as Seong Hyun shows his especial care for Hye Jin, plus the two latter characters spend more time together.

Apart from the jealousy burning inside Hong Doo Sik, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Episode 8 also featured Yoon Hye Jin and Hong Doo Sik taking care of each other.
The day after the eighth episode of the tvN romance drama was presented, the streams of the show's original soundtrack, titled Romantic Sunday, on Spotify have hit a new peak.
As of Sept. 20, the the tvN drama's OST Romantic Sunday by Car, the Garden has surpassed one million streams on the global streaming platform.
Meanwhile, the instrumental version of Romantic Sunday has exceeded 80,000 streams as of that day.

As of press time, Romantic Sunday is about to reach 1.5 million streams on Spotify, gaining approximately 500,000 more streams in just six days since Sept. 20.
The instrumental version of the song has also scored another peak in its streams. It is close to hitting 120,000 streams as of press time.
Romantic Sunday was sung by South Korean singer Car, the Garden, who is formerly known as Mayson the Soul. It is available for streaming on Car, the Garden Spotify account.
Another fact is that Car, the Garden's version is actually a remake, as the original singer of Romantic Sunday is JISLAND. The band released the track in 2007 under the album The Memories Of Romance.

Car, the Garden is an indie-rock singer currently managed by DRDRamc. He made his debut in September 2013 under the stage name "Mayson the Soul." He started using his current stage name in 2016 after moving agencies.

His friend, Oh Hyuk, was the one who suggested he use the name Car, the Garden, which is the literal English translation of his birth name, Cha Jungwon.
"Cha" is a homonym of "car," while "Jungwon" means "garden."
After he appeared in the Korean indie music scene, Car, the Garden quickly captured the attention of music fans with his unique style of music. He expanded his fan base after winning first place in SBS's audition program, The Fan.
His musical spectrum extended as he dropped two studio albums Apartment (2017) and C (2019).
This 2021, the Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha OST singer released a new EP, entitled Absence. It peaked at No. 86 on the Gaon Chart.
