BTS Bags 2 Accolades at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards Japan

BTS has been announced as one of the winners at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards Japan!

On Oct. 29, MTV Video Music Awards Japan (MTV VMAJ) announced this year's winners through their official website and social media accounts.

One of the artists who won is BTS, who claimed two accolades. The boy group won took home the "Best Group Video (International)" for their English-language hit "Butter."

The second one is "Best Collaboration Video (International)" for their collab track "My Universe" with Coldplay.

This is the fourth consecutive year that BTS has won an award at the 2021 MTV VMAJ. In 2018, the septet claimed the "Best Group Video (International)" for "Fake Love," and they won the "Best Buzz Award" in 2019.

Last year, BTS grabbed two awards as well: "Best Group Video (International)" and "Best Video of the Year," thanks to "Dynamite."

This past September, the boy group snagged three awards at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards in the United States, which was held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. BTS was announced as the winner of "Group of the Year (Best Group), "Best K-pop" and "Song of The Summer" for their song "Butter."

This is the band's third consecutive year winning both "Best K-pop" and "Group of the Year," while it is the first time they won the "Song of The Summer."

Meanwhile, BTS's "Butter" MV and BTS x Coldplay's "My Universe" MV are both nominated for the "Best Video of the Year." Voting takes place on the official website of MTV VMAJ and is open until Wednesday, Nov. 17.

Additionally, a special event called "MTV VMAJ 2021 -THE LIVE-" will be held on Dec. 18 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

BTS Enters the Weekly Gaon Charts for the 3rd Week of October

In other news, BTS has never failed to land songs or albums on the weekly Gaon Chart. On Oct. 28, Gaon issued the chart rankings for the week of Oct. 17 to 23.

On the Gaon Album Chart, BTS's 2018 album "Love Yourself: Tear" skyrocketed to the top five at No. 5. More BTS albums entered this week's Top 10: "Love Yourself: Her" (No. 6), "Love Yourself: Answer" (No. 7) and "MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA" (No. 9).

BTS's double-million-selling album "Butter" and their triple-million-selling album "BE" also landed on this week's album chart at Nos. 20 and 31 respectively. Overall, BTS has 15 albums on this week's Gaon Album Chart.

On the streaming chart, BTS has eight entries, including their collab track "My Universe" at No. 5. The other songs are "Permission to Dance" (No. 12), "Butter" (No. 13), "Dynamite" (No. 20), "Savage Love [Laxed - Siren Beat] (No. 49), "Boy With Luv" (No. 56), "Spring Day" (No. 69) and "Life Goes On" (No. 76).

Lastly, on the Gaon Social Chart 2.0, BTS remained at No. 1, marking their 32nd consecutive week atop the chart.
