GOT7 Jinyoung Returns to Social Media and Surprises Ahgases with New Instagram Stories

On Nov. 2, GOT7 member Jinyoung made his first Instagram update for almost two months. His last post was on Sept. 8, wherein he shared a few photos of himself posing for the September/October issue of Noblesse Men.

Jinyoung's new Instagram posts are two stories wherein he expressed his gratitude to the fans, collectively called Ahgase.

In the two Instagram stories, the "DIVE" singer can be seen wearing a brown sweater and showcasing the food and coffee trucks behind him. These trucks were sent by fans to show their support for the idol who is currently filming the popular television series "Yumi's Cells."

GOT7 Jinyoung included a short message on both stories, writing "Wow! It's Ahgase again!" on the first slide and "Our Ahgases thank you so much ^^" on the second one.

Surprised, Ahgases expressed their joy to see Jinyoung back on Instagram after a long time of inactivity. On Twitter, the keyword "Jinyoung" has been mentioned in more than 63.8 tweets. It is also trending in five countries such as the Philippines, Brazil, Malaysia, Peru, and Germany as of writing.

Meanwhile, GOT7 Jinyoung is playing the role of Yoo Babi in "Yumi's Cells," which also stars Kim Go Eun, Lee Yoo Bi, Ahn Bo Hyun, and Park Ji Hyun.

Yoo Babi is a famous co-worker who is intelligent, sweet, and handsome. He seems to be an almost perfect character and will be involved in a relationship with Yumi (played by Kim Go Eun).

On Jan. 19 this year, GOT7 members' seven-year exclusive contracts with JYP Entertainment have come to an end, and all of them decided not to renew the contracts.

One week later, Jinyoung was announced to have signed a contract with BH Entertainment, a company known for managing actors. He is the first GOT7 member to join a new agency.

In May, he attended the launching of Hugo Boss x Russell Athletic's capsule collection in Seoul, along with SHINee Minho.

In July, GOT7 Jinyoung was announced to play one of the lead roles in tvN's "Yumi's Cells," which is based on the webtoon of the same name and premiered on Sept. 17.

Concerning his activities as a singer, the "Yumi's Cells" actor released his first solo track since leaving JYP Entertainment, titled "Dive" on July 29. The idol was the one who wrote the lyrics and composed the song.

Five days after its release, GOT7 Jinyoung's "Dive" debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart, becoming his first-ever release to debut on the chart. It is also his first-ever entry on Billboard as a soloist.

A Japanese version of "Dive" was then released through music platforms on Sept. 29.
